Welcome to the First Day

Day 1,800, 23:48 Published in Australia Australia by ronnyJnrJnr

Hello to all my little cherubs and noobs of eAustralia. Due to the
lack of information and education forthcoming from MoE/MoI for the
last term, I have decided to start writing articles again, to try and
help our noobs through the first week or so of the game and hopefully
start retaining some of our new players. (i have NO control over how
admins defeat their own purpose by changing the game with idiotic
changes that are sure to come)

WELCOME TO YOUR FIRST DAY!!!

Familiarize yourself with this page This shows you quite a number of
things at a glance, such as Energy, Level, Country, Currency and Gold
to just mention a few.

The first thing you will want to do is WORK. For the first time you can click the "work" link in the tutorial box (shown above) in-game. For the next time you work click the My Places tab

in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

or you can click the My Companies button in the Daily Tasks section.

When you first start out in this game, you are automatically awarded
4 companies. Three grain companies and one food factory.

Under "Work as Manager" click the silhouette and it will turn black.

Click all four to work as manager in all four of your companies.

Each time you work, it will require 10 energy, so clicking all 4 will
require 40 energy, and this will be shown underneath where the green
circle and plus sign is

Once you have clicked all 4 silhouettes click the Start Production
button

The page will now refresh and your men will now all be green instead
of black. Once you have worked in a company, you can no longer work
in it until the next day.

All this information and more is freely available on the eAustralian
new players site found here. What IS needed fom the current
government (and all subsequent governments) is to get this site and
it's relevant information into the "New Player Message" that is sent
out when a player decides to join the game. Also there are 2
education help rooms in IRC which should also go out to new players in
the message. If you are already on IRC you can join using the /join
command for both #auseducation and #aushelp (/join #aushelp, /join
#auseducation). If not already in IRC, click here, here and here for the 2 education rooms and the australian community room.
