For some historical information:
We have an epic poem called Opsada Sigeta (Szigeti veszedelem) about this siege written by Nikola Zrinski (=Zrínyi Miklós) who was the great grandson of the captain of Sigeta (Szigetvár) and the brother of Petar Zrinski, the Croatian poet.
