Tuesday Atlas: Interview with Emergy Maxfell (06/09/2011)

Day 1,386, 06:34 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by ApronChef

This article is normally about economic's (it still technically is, as its an interview with a MoF member)

The interview is with Emergy Maxfell, and he answered the below questions, I thank him for taking the time to answer them.

*Questions In bold, Emergy Maxfell's replies: one with his name next to it)

Do you enjoy your role within the Ministry of Finance?

Emergy Maxfell: Yes, very much so. MoF is the only job I've ever wanted in government. Although, MoHA might be a fun position as well.

What would you say is your most proudest achievement within the Ministry of Finance?

Emergy Maxfell: All the Land Grants. We've given out over 200,000 GBP to new players and citizens looking to upgrade their own self capacity. I really wasn't a believer until others started the ball rolling. Blag and jamesw deserve a lot of credit for having clever, innovative ideas.

What would you say challenged you within the Ministry, and why was it challenging?

Emergy Maxfell: Most challenging thing is just keeping up with everything. Providing reports to Congress, tracking loans, doing grants, and making sure all the country's numbers add up. Besides MoF, I also run companies and do mentoring stuff and you can't neglect that either. 🙂

What do you think about the current state of the eUK economy, and what is your view on the struggling economies out there, and why do you think this?

Emergy Maxfell: Population is key. Smaller economies struggle because there isn't a lot of demand for currency. Stronger economies have lots of active players and consume more products daily. The current state of our economy is weak, I'm hoping this will turn around in the next week or two.

If you could pick any role within the eUK what would it be, apart from Ministry of Finance?

Emergy Maxfell: Minister of Home Affairs

Do you personally believe the eUK can recover from its current economic state, if so, how?

Emergy Maxfell: We're never going to have a 'roaring economy' like some of the larger population countries do until we increase our own population. However, I hope to see a modest improvement in our currency value in the next couple of weeks.

What would your suggestions be in improving the eUK economy?

Emergy Maxfell: More people selling gold. More people exporting their goods to other countries, selling foreign currency (or buying foreign gold) then bringing it back home and selling it for GBP.

Would you say the eUK is facing the same issue as a few other eNations, of where the Government is taking public money out of the country accounts for individual use with no re-payments with or without interest, causing the eNation to have a negative annual, or that some expenses are somehow erased, if so/not why?

Emergy Maxfell: No. All expenses are logged and reported to Congress with complete transparency.

If 500 struggling eBritish citizens asked for help, what would be the actions the Ministry of Finance would take, if they where directly asked?

Emergy Maxfell:Depends what they were asking for. If it was within the government's power to assist, I'd suspect we'd help.

Which do you prefer tea or coffee?

Emergy Maxfell: Coffee!

If you had to write one or two sentences for a statement to explain your view on the current state of the eUK, what would you say?

Emergy Maxfell: It's a really good community. There are some really exceptional players here and I wish everyone would get more active.

And that concludes the interview, however I will make one last remark, Coffee is disgusting, shame on you Emergy Maxfell for liking it ;P

You have been reading Atlas News on Tuesday (A day to ask questions)

I hope it was worth the read, please comment below if so/not.

Just a image to end the article, (Emergy Maxfell did not ask this, however the picture was too good to leave out ;P)
