The Fall of a Democracy

Welcome to the eUSA, a country that is known for diversity, population, and a strong military among many others. There's just one problem, it's a dictatorship. The fact that it's a dictatorship is very wrong, especially for a country that's "for the people" but if a country is a dictatorship, is it really for the people?

The eUSA became a dictatorship in the wake of the introduction of dictatorships. The government felt that in order to stay united and protected, the country needed what they call a "defensive dictatorship". But, a defensive dictatorship ruins the democratic process. This is because the whole thing can just collapse if someone has enough of a big-budgeted military unit, then someone can take control of the country and ruin its defensive dictatorship.
Another reason they chose this is because it would keep the country "united". But does a dictatorship really keep a country united? There are other dictatorships in the world that got some of their territory captured. So this doesn't keep a country together. Also, we have had colonies in the past that have been captured by others during our time as a dictatorship. So this really doesn't work the way we think it does.

Being under a dictatorship also can ruin our reputation. We are seen as a dictatorship by foreign citizens and it can discourage them from joining because they don't want to live under tyranny. This would ruin our chances for strong immigration.

This has affected me and the rest of the staff at the Walmart Journal personally in many ways. Our founder, Bob Salamander, is currently in the process of becoming a citizen of Norway, where he is going to move his business and possibly even this newspaper. Do to this, I would have to move to Norway or lose my job, and so will the rest of the staff that doesn't move. I will move, but most of our staff won't which is sad for everyone. We will come back if the country becomes a democracy again, but in the meantime, we are moving to Norway.

So please eUSA, please, just be a democracy again and you will be a better country than before.
