That Time Of The Month Again

That Time Of The Month Again

Well folks, it's one of those times of the eRep cycle that I truly enjoy, and almost always participate in. Yes, it's time for Congressional elections. As someone who has served four previous terms in the Congress, I believe that it holds a very important place in the eUS today, and that many good ideas come from active, eager Congresspeople who wish to assist in helping make this nation a better place. Though I haven't been successful in my previous runs, I will hopefully get the chance to serve in the Congress once again and offer my experience to help make this nation a better place.

I would also like to mention the fact that I thought about just before writing this article, and that is that it has been one month exactly since I was elected to my first term in the eUS Congress, and I still believe that some of the ideas I have, and the things that I stand for, would be good things for the nation.

I would also like to ask each of the voters who might read this article to take the time and read the platform that I have below, and I hope that each and every one of you will look favorably upon this.

Platform

While there are many things that one can mention in a platform, I would like to keep things simple and just mention some of the things I have more to say about.

In relation to the recent IES troubles, and the lack of respect some Congresspeople have for IES regulations, I would again like to suggest the following: The creation or better use of some government run program that would enable the top parties to montior candidates that get onto the ballot to ensure that they are people that would not take actions, as some have in the past, that open the nation up to a possible PTO threat in the future. The parties also will have do some better cooperation in the future to ensure that any threats that are domestically created are taken care of in swift manner, so that they don’t become bigger threats that we have more problems taking care of.

When it comes to the tax code, I would continue to monitor all situations, as should be done, and of course use the insight of the Economic Council in making any changes, if needed, to the nation’s tax code.

Finally, one thing I have always felt strongly about in this nation is the education and nurturing of younger players within the eUS community. The admins haven’t exactly made this game easier for the newest players in our country, but we have a duty as a nation to make sure that they are prepared to become the leaders of the future. That being said, I would do everything possible to support the Mentor Program in place now, and if needed, make changes to that program so that it would continue to be successful in the future.

Conclusion

I am sorry for not being able to publish articles as often as I would like to, but with school starting back on the 22nd for me, and with all the new things I have been up to, both in RL and on eRep, my time has been very limited. It also doesn’t help that I recently took a job as the eUS Ambassador to eSouth Africa. That being said, I took some serious time off from publishing here in Meet The Press to ensure that I was getting settled in to my new job and would be able to carry out my duties to the best of my ability.

I am almost absolutely sure that when the school year comes around, and my sleep patterns and daily plans get themselves on a set track, I will be able to start getting articles out in a timely fashion, and continue to bring the over five hundred subscribers of Meet The Press the interviews that have come to be the trademark of this newspaper. Thank you all for your continued support, and I hope everyone had a wonderful summer with Meet The Press.
