Some Clearing Up
Champinator
Hello again,
It seem there is some confusion about the goals that I chose. First off, the goals should not define a presidency; that is why manifests are written. Second, I do not completely mean the "taking a whole bunch of regions from Brazil" goal. That goal was set as a hope that through negotiations we can acquire most, if not all of our regions back from Brazil. Of course, this will not be done till probably after Congress Elections, and after we have become more stable economy-wise. And the fact that I did not include Northwest Province, that was an accident. I thought/planned to put all of our regions that are in Brazilian control. Also, it is not out of the question to maybe rent out one or two of these regions that we may not have a lot of need for. As I said (at least I think I said) in my platform, foreign policy/politics is constantly changing so developing a concrete plan is impossible.
Here is my platform in case you have not read it yet: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/champinator-for-cp-renovating-the-gov--1623047/1/20

First.
Also, I don't think all of our regions should be regained. I'm fine with having colonies in eSA. Especially if they're being rented.
You missed a bit 😉 JK
One question which I hope you will answer with maturity. Goals often give an indication to other countries about a country's intentions. For the most part, we cannot read the manifesto of every single president especially considering the language barrier. So when we think about a county's foreign policy but we cannot understand their manifesto we simply use the goals to get a basic idea of their foreign policy. If the newly elected president of Brazil sees these goals, might he not feel threatened as they entail him losing almost all of the colonies he expected to rent out thus destabilising negotiations?
PS. This is directed at Champ in a formal manner so I hope I won't be attacked for attacking or insulting him......
Good question. I look forward to the answer
CP Goals should tie in with your platform otherwise what's the point. They should take as much thought as your platform and be realistically achievable - otherwise you are setting the country up to fail in its goals.
Well, they should reflect your goals. I battle to understand why people don't get that. On the voting page it is what people see just before clicking VOTE. To put unattainable goals in dishonest to the electorate.
""First off, the goals should not define a presidency""
Yes they should, they are the very reason people vote for you. The whole point of the model is to define the Presidency. It is a snapshot of what people can expect. Society, military and economy is the very essence of what makes up the this game, a manifesto is just political ramblings.
So it's basically false advertising. Your platform isn't in the top 5 news anymore and there's no link to it on the voting page. Causing a 2-clicking voter to go "Hey wtf, this guy has some badass goals, I totally need to vote for him".
Well played, sir, well played indeed.
That was as i understood except for the timeframe. I agree in essence, also with thinking of not hurting the economy. Also on re-taking our regions eventually. You would make a great CP, but we need the stability or surety, that something is not misunderstood by mistake. Thats why i call for a presidency where we know we would not be misunderstood, we know what stability and leadership comes with Grimstone.
