The Interview

Hello Huey,

Thanks for the inclusion.

First Question:

Tell us a bit about yourself. What's your Erepublik journey been like, and what motivates you to continue playing? What aspects of the game do you find most enjoyable and captivating?

As can be seen from my profile page I have been here 10+ years. This game for me was difficult to find time for as I was mobile and on different sites daily, so no continuity; this in addition to low strength, no money and no gold, whilst trying to build factories and training centres. Moving 5yrs on I was employed on a static shift site with office facilities, therefore could manage battles easily and be online more of

Second Question:

Can you share a piece of advice or an experience where a government scheme or program significantly contributed to your military development and success in Erepublik?

Until lvl 26 I struggled until I saw there was help via NHS run by Madeline de Melrose. I had missed the most significantly helpful part by struggling with no help at low experience level but with the help of the eUniversity part, was able to catch up a little. Game mechanics changed also because with 2 or three battles max and only being able fight ground and then later only 1 in 4 rounds were air it was frustratingly difficult to fight air initially.

Third Question:

What's the most unforgettable campaign or battle you've participated in during your time in Erepublik?

Memorable battles with Alpha UKSF and the civil wars spring to mind, for all the wrong reasons. As I was only fighting ground and with typically less than 100k strength, I was getting wiped every time.

Fourth Question:

What are your current objectives and ambitions in Erepublik? Are there any specific goals or milestones you're striving to achieve, and how could the government or community help?

Trying to gain better rank in air and continuing to gain strength on ground, but with tankers who have upgraded training grounds way ahead, that is an impossibility to level up.

I know there is a ceiling in ground rank but game mechanics cannot currently address the strength inequality. As for government/community I am surprised at the amazing amount of help now available.

Fifth Question:

Are there any fellow players or accounts within the Erepublik community whom you admire or respect for their achievements or contributions? What qualities or actions do you find commendable in them?

We have a few strong ex ground only tankers and bearing in mind the current engagement agreements, it is commendable that we do not have a larger percentage of anarchy.

Many people in the past have donated to NHS; either food, money or gold. I remember some years back when Mick Cain threw the towel in and gave us a staggering amount of food.

Camat M also, even when he went on a tour of eEurope kept sending supplies. Many people spend some time in gov or working out economic solutions and share these findings to the community.

Empathy to those including myself who have been stressed and worked to gain an agreeable balance.

Closing Question:

Finally, do you have any words of wisdom or motivation for aspiring fighters and pilots in Erepublik, something that could inspire them to achieve success?

Unless one is prepared to bend ones card, there is no easy way upwards. The community spirit is what is valuable. It is difficult to ignore the minority that hit battles without thinking or who hit blindly then log out. The game is what it is, too many bugs that should have been sorted long ago. I guess we just have to laugh and carry on regardless. I notice though with every month passing it tends to get a little easier.

My heartfelt thanks to Select28 for taking part in this series of interview and providing some fascinating answers and my respect and appreciation for what he has achieved in the Skies and Frontlines of eUK.
