Sirius transformation

Hello,

I’ve been writting for a while mostly on Croatian (my mother Tongue) and I’ve gathered quite a few readers already, but couple of days ago I decided to start writting on English too in order to expand my public and get the MM medal.

I thought if I move to an English speaking country getting articles in top5 there will bring me more readers and help me achieve my goal. That’s the main reason I moved to USA, but also good bonuses didn’t hurt anyone 🙂

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t write because I want MM medal, I write because I like strategy and little tactical games on the map that this game sometimes can provide and what better way to promote it than to write military analysis?

Enough of introduction, it’s time for an article.



Ever since the break of TWO and formation of new alliances game became more interesting in terms of military events and last couple of days were very interesting. We’ve seen a bit of offensive from Asteria that Sirius managed to repel and now it looks like Sirius is on a move.


Bold Slovenia - Indecisive Poland



Germany attacked Slovenia at the time when Poland went to recover lost bonuses from German colonies. Even though German attack started well, but Slovenia managed to repel it and soon launched counter offensive. Slovenia used the fact that Poland was busy with recovering bonuses and pushed deep into German territory and soon launched NE on Poland.
Poland wasn’t decisive enough and let Slovenia take the initiative on this front and that caused them some problems that were eventually solved. Even though NE on Poland later turned out as a move that brought Slovenia close to being deleted it could have easily turned the other way and become a success, definitelly a bold move worth of respect.

After Iran landed in Czech Republic it managed to elude Polish attack and settled in Central Europe. Later it joined Slovenian offensive on Poland, but since Slovenian attack was already repelled there simply wasn’t enough space and time to make anything out of it.


Iran and Slovenia showed how organized actions can endanger even the strongest, but they lacked some luck and support to achieve something more. Sirius and Poland took important victory over Asteria in Central Europe and it opened a way for a offensive that kicked Iran from Europe (and map) and brough Slovenia back to cores where they’re struggling to stay on map.



Romania is no longer an empire - Bulgarian NAP



Romania used the 2x determination bonus on all battles won in the last tournament and launched successful AS on Spain. Due to 2x det. bonus Spain had no chance 1 on 1 and Romania conquered them easily while still holding Bulgaria occupied.
When the 10 days of 2x det. bonus expired Romania soon started losing ground both in Spain and in Bulgaria.

Spain and Bulgaria managed to liberate some regions through RWs and launched NEs on Romania. Soon Mexico joined in and Romanian forces were overwhelmed even though they had support from their alliance and Romania is now pushed back to its cores.

Bulgaria liberated its core regions and managed to conquer Muntenia (Romanian core region), but as it was threatened by Serbian attack they decided to sign NAP.
It’s understandable that Bulgaria wasn’t ready for bigger operations after being conquered for months, but NAP that’s preventing them from attacking any of the bordering enemy countries and from signing new MPPs is equal to capitulation. After months of hard occupation alliance shifts brought new chances and it looks like Bulgaria could have done much more for themselves and their allies than this.




Changes in the North - Argentine still in Europe



It looks like Asgard profited from the latest alliance shift. After a long time of inferiority they finally got the chance to strike back.

Norway managed to push UK from its core regions and even attacked and conquered Scotland.
This events brought two countries to table and as this law suggests peace is to come.

Sweden pushed Lithuania back to its cores and the power behind the sides in this conflict seems more balanced than before.
Argentine still has European foothold in Estonia and Latvia and it seems like it won’t change soon. Despite of Argentinian presence in the region Latvia and Estonia managed to obtain congresses this month. Belarus is still pushing Latvia, but doesn’t have the power to maintain any region for a long time.




Slovenia on the verge of deletion - Serbia under pressure



Slovenian attack on Poland gave chance to Germany to liberate its core regions that were under Slovenian occupation and launch counter offensive on Slovenian colonies in Switzerland and Austria which ended by kicking Slovenia back to cores.

While Serbia was busy threatening Bulgaria, Croatia managed to liberate Istria and Kvarner and immediately launched NE on Slovenia (parallel to Polish offensive). So far Croatia didn’t have any problems on that front and is easily conquering Slovenian core regions and Slovenia is now 2 regions far from deletion.

After successful “diplomatic” intervention in Bulgaria Serbia quickly turned back to its western borders and launched NE on Croatia. Serbian attack on Istria and Kvarner was repelled by Croatia, as expected, because Croatia had 1.41x determination bonus in that region. But what followed was (and still is) a bit of a surprise and a shock for Serbia.
Croatia launched attack on Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia occupied by Serbia and won by a large margin. Serbia was caught off guard and quickly disarmed in that battle ending up with a steady victory for Croatia.

As a result of this events Serbia is now under huge pressure and it will likely lose its colonies for some time. Croatian is pushing further in Italy and is looking very strong in a battle for Veneto while Serbia is facing further pressure on other fronts. RWs in South Dalmatia, Federation of BiH, Molise and last Albanian region under Serbian occupation.

It’s also important to add that Spain is currently voting Serbia as a NE and will soon join offensive.

USA attacked weakened France couple of days ago completing its bonus set by adding rubber from Poitou Charentes and is easily conquering the rest of French regions. Soon new US NE law will be available and we can expect another front for Serbia (if they will still be present in that region then).



Asteria lost the initiative in the last couple of days as their opponents got organized and the momentum is on their side now. It will be interesting to see what will be Asteria’s answer to this and further actions of the countries from a block called Aurora which influence seems to give the advantage to Sirius over Asteria. We can expect more interesting battles, new fronts and more action on all continents.
