ROMANIA UNDER SIEGE: A Report from the Front

This week The Fair Dealer pre-empts its regular player-submitted story issue to bring you news from the Romanian front. Your editor has been in Romania for the better part of this week fighting alongside our ATLANTIS allies, and the situation is indeed serious.

Romania is currently involved in 11 wars spanning every continent and involving nearly every allied party. Of these 11 wars, five are ongoing conflicts: Romania and Hungary fight over Zaphorozia and its 12 citizens, and the Romanians battle Indonesia on three Asian fronts: Guangxi, Zhejiang, Guizhou, and Fujian.

Of these, Guangxi seems ready to fall to PEACE forces, with Zhejiang not far behind. During this week I have fought 14 times in Asia - the majority in Guangxi - and dealt an estimated 500 damage to the PEACE offensive. A pittance, yes, but every bit helps in maintaining Romanian borders. In my struggle, I also became a Lieutenant.

Though surrounded on all sides by war and facing a united offensive from Indonesia and Hungary, Romania is still a land of opportunity. Jobs are available for the taking, and I succeeded in finding a 3-skill job in Q1 Land paying 14 RON. I received daily promotions, and in two days had a pay of 20 RON. This allowed me to buy two Q1 weapons per day and a Q3 food to keep the fight going.

A brief scan of the Romanian job market shows a Skill 3 Q1 Iron production job yielding between 14 and 17 RON per day. A Skill 4 Q1 oil job yields almost thirty RON. In Romania, it seems, the mercenary is welcomed with enticing salaries, low cost goods, and the promise of consistent wage increases.

Though I have learned much and enjoyed my profitable time in Romania, I am an American, and must return to Virginia to support Congressman Sabotage75 and the American wargames. However, having been in Romania, I now see what many Americans do not - Romania is a stable nation in an unstable region, a ripe training ground for our militias, and - now - an ally under siege.

We must practice our fighting skills with our ally, Ireland, in preparation for when we are called to join the Romanian forces on the field of battle. We cannot allow our ally, this great, prosperous land of Romania, to fall victim to the destruction of PEACE forces. It is all or nothing, Americans.

BREAKING - Fujian and Guizhou have fallen to Indonesia as of 11:30am EST on May 8th. Guangdong fell from Romanian control at 1:15am the same morning.

- At 12:30pm EST, Romania defeated Hungary in Zaphorozia. Hungary responded by invading Romania's Chisinau region.
