Resource Wars - An Update?

Three days in, and it seems like there have been a lot of battles, and a lot of fighting. Kudos to everyone that has been trying to do what they can to bring a better future to Ireland.
As someone who isn't heavily involved in the political arena, I would like to ask those in Ireland that are... How are we doing?
Are we doing enough at this point to carry out the plan that had been established from the beginning of obtaining the resources that we need to make Ireland a strong and prosperous country?
Any feedback from those in the "know" would be welcome and appreciated.
Sorry that there are not any fancy pictures or anything to make this interesting, but this was more of a conversation starter than an informational article.

Well, we're trying our best. It's very exciting to see the whole nation fighting as one on IRC when it takes to pushing the walls. We've missed few chances, but we've won alluminium, we're still just in start of this event, lots of resources to come and our isolation is working good for us right now, we still havent lost any resource to UK or France.
Considering the amount of active people in Ireland and considering the activity of those who play I'm very happy with how things are going. We've missed rubber for few seconds, we have missed saltpeter twice for less than a minute and we've been sabotaged in race for Oil. If we keep up like this, we're going to hit something eventually. There's a huge influence of luck as well, I'd say ~70% so, we'll get lucky if we keep trying best we can like we did so far.
I'm just wondering where all the politicians suddenly disappeared, we could use their activity when it comes to real things as well.

I guess I'm not completely sure how actually getting the resources works... We pick something that we want, a bunch of other countries do as well, and only one gets it?
Exactly. Only one and that one needs to get perfect 30k determination points in the same time resource becomes availiable 🙂
Oh wow... That seems like a tough thing to be able to obtain with everyone fighting.
Now imagine how it is with having only 10-15 active soldiers who are ready to tank strong...comparing to other countries who have 100-200 of those 😃
I hear you. I might not be strong, but I've put up almost 2.5 mil in damage in the past couple of days. 🙂
We have been trying hard, and we have been actually in the top 3 countries for controlling our battles and landing with right points. The fact we are getting sabotaged means we are good at this.
What does you guys mean by "sabotaged"?
Say we have all our battles on the perfect course, getting the perfect number of points to cross the line at the perfect time for winning the resource, then a competitor nation can send hitters to hit for us with 3 minutes left, gaining us more points than we want and thus pushing us over the line early, missing the resource. This competition is completely different than anyone had anticipated. We had setup everything assuming it would be similar to the last resource war, we have had to adjust quickly. This is a very tough event and it's great to see how many pulled together to get the best we can from it. Rubber is the most sought after resource and we came within seconds of it. Thanks for your article, some of us involved in this event simply do not have the time to write any, this event requires round the clock attention. But your questions and the answers you get here will maybe help others as well.
Just lived through my first attempt to win one of these things... Almost like a crap shoot really.
