Quarter finals coming up in world championships rugby

Day 1,412, 06:35 Published in Belgium Belgium by Cooke4444
The world championships are entering their knock-out stage. What can we expect?

These are the quarter-finals:

Ireland-Wales (8/10)
England-France (8/10)
South-Africa-Australia (9/10)
New-Zealand-Argentina (9/10)

Ireland going great

If they maintain their current form, they are already in the semi-finals. Beating Italy (36-6) is an achievement with that kind of lead. Italy out in the groupstages? Yes, it is possible.

France getting slaughtered?

France isn't the France we know at the moment and England is in shape.
Hesitations vs. confidence? England was outstanding in their group.

South-Africa and their first real game

No competition in their group (except Wales), but luckily for them, they have to compete Australia, which isn't the best rugby nation.

New-Zealand on fav?

Great group stage for them, even with France in their group. Argentina is happy to be so far in the race, New-Zealand may start to dream of the final. Maybe they're hoping that Australia wins, so they can bring them down with their own hands.

My prediction

With Scotland and Italy out of the competition and France out of form, the final could be England-New-Zealand.
