As far as I know we don't pay a cent for Connecticut cause they don't need the region. Would be interesting...we need our MoFA to get on to the Scots but I doubt they want to split from the UK.

I have a dream to unite all the celts! Scotland would be a key tactical advantage for an invasion of the UK. Also, after we take over the damn Brits, we shall have complete control over the two islands! Imagine, like William Wallace did, have having more than just independance? To stop them once and for all!

@Mike You do know that we cannot "stop them once and for all", right? We can't remove the eUK from the game, they can still RW their original territories and win them back.

The answer does not lie in invasion and attempted annihilation, there are other ways to get things done.

Tomazim I agree with you completely. I am not arguing that at all and my previous posts should show that I also wish people would stop thinking that Scotland, ingame or real life is in made up solely of Celtic people. Especially in game as it just simply would no get any support on the Scottish side.

TBH, I don't think Ireland could keep Scotland for very long though. London is only going to come back up north and eat you. 🙁

@celtictiger: I have family in Scotland and they hate the Brits (this is RL) and currently the Scottish National Party is working for independance.

This article is for those who believe in the idea of a united celtic league of nations and since scotland isn't put under as its own nation, I figure we should control the region since we share a celtic background. The Brits are just Roman ass kissers. Sorry, I am using RL examples.

No. Firstly, in an RW in ND the Yanks can just move to ND itself. Secondly, we could actually get to ND from Scotland or Cork and Kerry just as cheap and even cheaper than using Connecticut at all. It is of no use to Ireland whatsoever. Minnesota is where we should have been and I was actually working on it in the days before I turned into Satan in the eyes of the Dail.

Connecticut is useless to the US, to Ireland and it would be just as useless to Canada as well.

I think people are going overboard with this, the co-operation thing would be more of a way this could work with other Celtic nations/people. Taking over Scotland isn't feasible.

Taking isn't feasible whether we could hold it or not.

Canada own it now and we have no war with them. We cannot afford to open one with them either.

This article was about a peaceful exchange of territory between Ireland and Canada. Of course we have no war, just swapping two regions.

@IB: I agree we should have been in Minnesota. Many Celts also live in Minnesota, primarily northern Minnesota. They are quite proud over there too.

Mike, what I mean is, in eRepublik to swap a region with a country you MUST have an open war to exchange them.

Also, the reason for Minnesota is not because of the Celtic issue it was simply the closest useless US region to North Dakota, meaning it would be easier to get back there should we ever lose the region.

As a member of the Celtic League in eRep, I would be behind the principle of the idea. The logistics are another matter. Glad to see Don back from the dead though o7

@Margaret: Tribalism only has led to small scale conflicts, not massive wars like we have now with nations. A tribal (clan) system or loose confederation of regions could work and in the face of a massive invasion, most would defend their homeland to keep their lands.
