Part 3: A Contrast in Context, False Promises
Dishmcds
As he walked back to his flat, he sat in amazement at current difficulties. As a country, they were going in different directions. Something needed to unify them.
He sat and went over all the current government programs, looking at what had been done to a once great nation. He hadnt been involved in politics very long here in the UK, but he was feeling the excitement more and more. Finally, it seemed as if we were heading to some sort of opposition. He sat down to draft his first speech, which he was scheduled to give in front of the House of Commons tomorrow. They had finally been awarded a permit for demonstration, which was a small victory in and of itself. At least those in power were willing to listen to something.
"A leader without opposition is not a leader at all, but rather a dictator in disquise."
It was now flowing from his pencil. He started by taking small excerpts from the Government program, and simply expanding on them, section by section.
"As far as economics, they promise a minimum wage and workers schemes, yet by doing so they will directly be telling companies what they can and cannot pay. They talk about interference when necessary, yet they further aim to restrict who can and cannot obtain success.
Then, they turn and raise taxes on gifts. They did so under the thin veil of protecting domestic companies, while failing to mention to the general public that those same taxes apply to domestic companies as well. If asked, they'll tell you they're refunded. What they probably wont tell you is that more than likely they only refund taxes for companies they feel benefit the UK, leaving anyone with ambition out in the cold.
They also claim to set goals for inflation, GDP, and employment. Those goals, much like Congressional proposals, have yet to be seen."
Then he turned towards the political aspect of their programme.
"They turn to say that if elected, they will continue to make the eUK a safe place to live. They won't say how, or with whom. Once again, simply proves that things are way too close to the vest within our government, and you must be in their ranks to achieve anything there. If you look at the current positions, the current President, Vice President, MoD, both MoFA positions, the Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade, and so on are all current regime members. It seems to me that the current administration gave up on Unity a long time ago. Partisanship throughout the Government only ensures that the will of the people will not be heard. So far, we have no constitution, yet we have honours, a Chief of Police, a Congressional Code of Conduct (to only further conceal what they do behind closed doors), and employment strategy, and so on. You would think if they cared about their own population, they would ensure that the population had a say."
He then turned towards a bit of recent news.
"Recently, they posted "an open Commons" legislative bill. They claim this will make things transparent. What we see now is that they post things in the Government Policies section once the vote is completed, yet no one has the ability to know what has been going on.
What this bill will do will not change that. It will simply allow the Government to create another branch, which is also duly repetitive, yet still allows the normal citizen no access to the Commons. This bill has sorely missed it's mark, and it's a mark that both members of the current regime and it's opposition have voiced support for. This will end up being nothing more than wasted time, further putting off what's truly important."
Alas, it was very late, and he could feel his eyes starting to fail him. He would certainly finish this tomorrow morning, before they all left for the rally. He was certain there'd be supporters from both sides amongst the crowd, but the fervor was growing in the population that they were simply not going with what the people wanted. They were certainly going for personal ambitiions, moreso than the desires of the people they governed. They were not governing, they were ruling. And their iron fist seemed ready to grow rust.
Next time, we'll be writing about the events that took place during the rally. Unfortunately the government sent black suits to the editor's office, and prevented him from writing about fire, or anything related.
So, until then, the streets will burn. It will show that the people will not be taken down a path that will lead to the downfall of their own civil rights.

Heh. Awesome as always, I wonder what this\'ll stir up..Voted.
Well written. Voted.
\"What they probably wont tell you is that more than likely they only refund taxes for companies they feel benefit the UK, leaving anyone with ambition out in the cold.\"
This is a lie, all companies have been refunded their tax already.
\" If you look at the current positions, the current President, Vice President, MoD, both MoFA positions, the Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade, and so on are all current regime members.\"
Possibly because they are both the best at what they do, AND that they actually bother to turn up to congress votes.
With the exception of Katie, Paddy and Lightwave, UKRP has been severely lacking on the part of having people that DO THEIR PART for eUK.
All I\'ve seen from you since you landed here are a combination of spin and a desire to turn eUK into mini-eUSA, all because of an inbuilt hate of the \'C\' word.
You even endorsed Widdows9000 as a possible president due to his experience, yet you spare no time in adding him to the list of people you use as justification against the PCP.
Your entire purpose here seems to be to stir up trouble, and Katie - I\'m not impressed at the way you continue to egg him on.
If UKRP are not willing to play fair on this, and use actual policy, activity and personality to win an election then you simply do not deserve it.
Isn\'t Kaleb OBE a member of UK Reform? Tell me again, why isn\'t he Chancellor of the Exchequer or President of the Board of Trade?
Because he didn\'t want those positions.
He has\'nt got enough time to fulfil the responsibilities and he knows it.
William, quite a few people here are not teenage students who have a lot of free time, they are people with jobs and families. Kaleb has a job, a family and a young \"diddy-Kaleb\", so I wouldn\'t expect to see much of him on here as those things take priority.
Paddy: \'Kaleb has a job, a family and a young \"diddy-Kaleb\".\'
I don\'t see why the regime should use any of these things to discriminate against Kaleb OBE – especially being in the same position myself.
When my school workload starts increasing again, I\'ll have to step down from some of my current positions too - it\'s a simple case of priorities, and both Kaleb and I have things in our lives that we rate higher than eRep.
Ans as Ip said, he didn\'t want those positions.
Paddy, why are you sticking up for \"them\"?
um william ~ read the post ~Kaleb didn\'t want the posiiton ~it wasn\'t that he was discriminated against as you put it. Also I think Dish you should get your facts staight ~ it was UBP that proposed the publication of the goverment polices and UKRP that proposed the secrecy act. We (PCP) are also one of the few (if not the only party) to publish in our manifesto the details of what our legislatve programme will cover for the term so that voters can see what they are voting for. And finally, you talk about they (meaning pcp) as though they wre the government. PCP has 14 out of 38 congress seats... hardly a majority! If you put the same amount of effort into getting your congressmen to turn up as you do in writing these articles then we might have a healthier democracy....
You\'re blind.
Have you ever heard in research? Impartial analysis? I know that Britain\'s known by Daily Mail & CO, but you should work to have a minimum level of impartiality.
False promises... You are crazy, boy.
\" If you look at the current positions, the current President, Vice President, MoD, both MoFA positions, the Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade, and so on are all current regime members.\"
Tell me: Who should be the ministers? We are most experienced, we are the best for the job.
When we can we put other parties , like CBall.
And others, like Katie, are being trained.
We can\'t put Paddy or Kaleb because of their RL duties.
And the PM was elected...
@Will Fruit: Because Paddy is reasonable, he isn\'t an irracional oppositior.
just so you know Dish the transparent commons came from the UBP😉
\"I remember when you were the minority fighting for your own rights and views, and were in the same position every other party is in now.\"
And I remember how my party managed to turn itself into a major power *without* posting untruths, lies or slander.
\"You are still hiding all current debate from the citizens it affects.\"
When only 1/2 of the ELECTED turn out to vote, what makes you think that this is such a big issue to the people who arn\'t?
We\'ve heard absolutely no unrest about transparency in the commons until you arrived and started blowing your own horn.
If you look at what \'State Control\' is in place, you\'ll find there is actually... erm.... NONE.
\"Not to mention you didnt even bring up your \"transparent Commons\" proposal that was passed\"
Again, get your facts straight. I could just as easily post lies about you and UKRP, but where would that get me?
Sadly, yes - see reply #1
\"Heh. Awesome as always, I wonder what this\'ll stir up..Voted.\"
Could we perhaps see some policies from the UKRP and how they would do things differently instead of just slagging us off.
It\'s easy to pick apart policies but it\'s not as easy to make some new ones up and to make them work which is what UKRP seem to be avoiding.
When are gonna get some subanstion on the \'free market is always the best even on a game where the mechanics are totally different to real life, so the PCP must be evil\' argument
Why is Dish so keen to create problems?
Our politics were great, we disegreed but this is the second time(the first being Jacob, but he doesn\'t count) that we see slandering here.
Do you all remember Jacob\'s last words? I think that... Maybe...
LOL
Wanna place a personal bet on that Bremer?
Interesting,,,
Well truth has been said, so did lies, but most of it is true...
\"Our politics were great...\" Who says?
