Great! Good to see a positive contribution and best of luck with the internecine warfare....

I think most of these complaints are pretty trifling tbh; I don't think they really need defending. Party structure was completely inactive at the time, yourself especially, so instead of waiting around I got things done. I think my last month has been really successful and I am absolutely staying true to the party.
Don't get me wrong Alex, I don't mind you at all running against me, I think the best guy should win and people should be led by who they want.
At the same time, I find the way you have been the last month pretty disingenuous in the context of all this that is going on now. You were completely inactive in the party, not responsive to feedback or help since the start of my term (even though it was requested several times). You would pop your head up once every week and a half or so and make some vague criticism, drift off into inactivity and not defend yourself.
That's the reason why I simply didn't say good luck, but, good luck 🙂
My memory is never at its best , BUT afair The IUP never had a Main goal with regard to Irelands possesion of ancestral lands ,
Irish Unity party , Not united party .
and again AFAIR Irish airbourne Brigade was not pto'd by the British , It was "Rollta Bais" The MU currently commanded by Bhane.
@castaneda: It was both units actually. Bhane took over both of them and donated one to the IUP.
@Jeffrey: Indeed I have been inactive for a period of a few months logging in once a day to work and train. I simply had a large workload in real life. I now have more time on my hands and apparently so has Brent. However my leadership will be inclusive, if by any chance I win.
agreed with C.
anyway, the past of the party is unimportant, the future is.
good luck with it.
Nice article first and foremost. I like the formatting. That said the logo is a minimal issue. And having been around the IUP for a long while I can tell you that traditionally this was in reference to infighting in the country as much as it is to Northern Ireland. I dont think we would be bad off to have you at the healm Alexander, but I will be supporting Lord Jeffrey. He has breathed life back into something that was near dead, and I think that deserves another go at things. Good luck to all.
I've always been confused as to what the goals of the IUP have been, but I remember asking IUP members whether Union referred to a geographic goal or a social one, and it was never definitively confirmed to me that it was the former. That said there's no reason why the party couldn't make a geographically united Ireland part of the platform if that what the members believe in.
Aye, my time in the IUP always saw the Unity in a social context. It was the principle of my career.
