New Era - Resolute Not Running

Day 2,370, 05:13 Published in United Kingdom USA by Michael Ludgate

New Era has suffered an embarrassing incursion, we have failed to internally govern ourselves. This is not an excuse to runaway crying like children. We have the responsibility to stand by our party and correct the mistakes.

Today irresponsible ex-leaders of NE request you move to another party. They feel the best response to ATO is to stomp and shout about how we were invaded. Of course it's actually the result of unilateral cross-party action to secure eUK's future. The ex-leader of NE will insist that any action is justified as a means to gaining power from The Unity Party, even the complete destruction of eUK. This is of course not a view held by the majority of party members, at best we shrug it off as 'a bit OTT' or 'unrealistic motivationalism', at worst 'a possible route to power'. But if we sacrifice our founding ideals for power then we have no reason to be in any party than the one currently in power - so all run over to TUP today! Because as sure as you're unlikely to make a significant impact in TUP, you'll make just the same splash in the NE of last week.

Why? Because the founding ideals, that I stand for, have long been forgotten by the party elite. I stand for a party:
1.Supports eUK's best interests first
2.Viable alternative in a multi-party democratic government
3.Provides accessible political career options to it's members

I believe strongly that you also support these values, and that we should no longer allow ourselves to be abused as a pool of voting sheep. No longer will I stand by a party filled with people whose primary political tools are attrition and slander. I will stand against this because it reflects badly on my character, when the people I support behave with no respect for themselves or others.

For this reason I offer myself for the position of party president, it's going to be a pretty thankless task under ATO conditions, but one I feel is still vital to our continued success.

Instead of crying about our current situation, I will seek to turn it to our advantage. Harnessing the experience and influence our benefactor Mr Woldy has with the other parties, improving our political abilities and respect from them. My approach is radically different by being a calming influence in NE, I believe in supporting the common good to build-up rather than destroying to rebuild egotistically in my image.

If a better candidate stands, with similar values, then I'll gladly support them. Whilst it's been necessary for this schism of the party to take place, allowing the cancerous element to move on, it's vital that we remain united. I understand that a good few members (some good friends of mine) have been swayed through the mixture of propaganda, rallying and misled trust. To this end I welcome back, as you never left, to your party New Era.

Never to be forgotten again, in this order...
Hail eUK
Hail New Era
