Maverick Pack and Epic Battles - Numbers Don't Lie

Since the introduction of the Maverick Pack two months ago, D4 players without the pack have been complaining about the lack of epic battles. It had already been bad before but there was usually an epic battle on Tuesday or Wednesday to help reach 500/5000+ prestige points quickly and enjoy higher energy regeneration for the rest of the week. And now, personally I've come to terms with the situation and stopped waiting for them.
But is it just my wrong impression or a hard fact? Numbers don't lie so let's check for ourselves.

I've counted epic battle tweets before and after the introduction of the Maverick Pack in every division and compared them.
Before Maverick Pack (November 30th 2015 - July 18th 2016)
D1 - 381
D2 - 385
D3 - 357
D4 - 264
As we can see, there was already something fishy going there. D4 had significantly fewer epic battles than the other divisions. A bug in the epic formula or a feature?
After Maverick Pack (July 18th 2016 - September 18th 2016)
D1 - 87
D2 - 128
D3 - 137
D4 - 41
This has gone out of control. D3 had 3 times more epic battles than D4. 41 epic battles in 2 months are still about 5 per week but bear in mind that full scale battles with a wall within the 49.5%-50.5% range are considered epic so there were even fewer truly epic battles.
The Maverick Pack was initially released as a 'test pack'. I guess the test must have succeeded since the pack has been offered on a regular basis. Have Plato's profits increased much, though? Some Visas have reportedly stopped their purchases:

Was it a good business decision for Plato in the long term to ruin the game even more for most players and improve just for those with all the packs? We'll see. I'll mention just one more number. I clean my list from dead friends every week. Today was the first time I've had to remove more than 1%.

the people who usually make epics (people thaht did billions) are people that have MP,
why you care about epics in d4 when you steal BHs in d1 ?????

Yes Plato lost some money from those quiting or going in two click mode players, but in same time Plato is doing tons of money from Maverick Pack! After each month more and more players are getting MP. Why? Because totally worth it!
1st - MP gives access to all epics in all division, which is very important for D4 ppls, where we dont have that much epics, cuz of damage formula (1 epic in D1 - its smtg like 700-800 MILLIONS influence, while 1 epic in D4 is at least 10 BILLIONS influence - you can see the difference! Alone one strong tank from D4 can do an epic in D1. In same time he has to burn tons of EBs and still is not sure will be able to make epic in D4!) For example - 2 hours ago i did epic in D1 (Bolivia - Chile) with just 54K CC for CO + just 30 mil influnce and was waiting battle to become FSB %, so to be counted for epic - to that level spent 43K CC and other 11K to become full epic.54K for 1 full epic! Try to make 1 epic in D4 with 54K...
2nd - MP repays from COs in lower divisions. To have access to 100-150CC/mil in D1-D2 is preceless. For 2 weeks max, you can do all the CC needed to get MP with CC. 😉
3rd - You can control the walls in lower divisons by yourself, not to put CO and to pray someone to hit on time. Its much easier and cheaper to control the wall with MP.
4th - you have access to cheap BH medals, if you are BH hunter. (dont like that option, but its part of the game) - Thanks to that you can make a lot gold for EBs. In the end in D4 with 200 mil it is possible to not get a single BH medal, while in lower diviosn with 200M you can do plenty of medals/gold. Its not normal in D1 to have players with 130K+ strenght and rank Legend and their medals to be just 4-5 mils each. That is just ridiculous! If BH medals in lower divisions are more expensive there wont be so much steals. But D1-D3 tanks are too greedy for medals and gold and thats why they cry so much!

4th - They aren't greedy, the BH cost was low, so players without packs [like me] could get a BH medal too, though not as often. Now the situation is much worse and soon only pack buyers will be able to get BH. FANTASTIC!!!
Nope, its all about greed! Taka for example TugAvenger. Is it normal that strong acc to be in D1? When he is on full energy he can do something like 160-170 million influence. He is strong enough even to farm medals in D4, but with 170M he can get 1, max 2 BH medals in D4 if he is very lucky, which means 5-10 gold. In same time with that undluence he can get 30 medals in D1, which is 60 gold... Yeah right, it is not greed! xD
Look at me then!!! I can hit 12 M with full energy, is it normal for me to stay in d2 with even stronger tanks? I don't think so, but still, with this 12 M I could get a BH every day/two. Now with MP I am doommed. But the Tug Avenger will get medals anyway. Again, change that will hit those, who don't pay for playing..
If the MP stays, they can merge the divisons again, because it's ruining whole system of 'divisions'
Well yes and no. Division should depend from strenght or influence per hit, not by exp!
But w/o counting this there is one importnat thing - when you are D4 player and you going for example in D2... if noone is hit there you will do just 11K damage per hit which is nothing. So all D1-D3 tanks should change their way of playing. Instead of doing 5-10 mil influence in T1, they will hit in last minute. That way noone from D4 wont be able to steal their medals. It is that easy!
XD No, tanks will still hit in the first minutes, and they will get BH, but normal players won't be able to do this...
If we are to believe official eRep stats (that you can see on the battlefield) D4 epic can't be made without at least 20 billions dmg.
since majority of players are D4 players without packs seeing an epic every once in a while won't give them any reason to stay here, they won't if they can't have fun. (should I mention that there is virtually no other working module except semi working war module?)
D4 epic formula (if there is any formula at all) must be redefined and damage needed must be (significantly?) lowered.
but I agree with your points, maverick is a fun pack. i'll have it, most likely, as long as I can afford it.
it's just that whole game is expensive. I don't get why they don't try with "lower price-more packs sold-more money earned overall" approach.
but as long as they get enough money they won't change anything nor they will care if players are leaving the game, why should they?

I am here watching you all and waiting to see what happens when you all realize that only you, paying customers, are left, and that packs are no longer any advantage to you because you all have them? Hmm...I'll turn off the light when you all get out 🙂
MP was thought or D4 people, and who has the problem? like ever the D1 peole THAT not pay for packs and the novels.
This is just a new step in the, not dead, but the thinking about keeping the game with its acltual people, because they dont have any new strategy to get new players.
We have to wait to see the final figures. Any D4 will leave buying packs beause of MP, instead of that, some of them may buy MP and a new pack that the didnt before (for example, BP). Some D1-3 people probably buy MP too, but on the other hand some of them have left buying packs because of it. But D4 is too big, and it was too boring.
If MP is profitable, it will keep with us, if not, if wont.
