So, who would you suggest running? Beta has more experience than most people in the eUK and has worked in every department all the way to the top. 10 years ago he was told by everyone (including certicito) that he was ready to run for the top job. It isn't lack of experience or will on the non-TUKRP side of the equation, it's the total cult mentality on the TUKRP side... really quite worthy of the piggies in Animal Farm to be honest 😛

Yourself...Woldy...AMD...Rory...MIK...I could probably go on as TRS are full of depth in terms of talent and any of the aforementioned probably would have won the election.

What happened 10 years ago is either wholly irrelevant or entirely forgettable to most players right now. Someone what did something 10 years ago isn't going to sway the minds when it comes to opposing a player who has done exactly the same thing for 10 years without leaving the game.

I can't say I agree with the election result, but it was almost inevitable.

So, you think running ex-CPs of the same era that used Beta in all the cabinets would work? I am curious how that works, especially given that I only just returned to the eUK this last month. And we did try AMD. And he did lose. The issue isn't a lack of talent on the non-TUKRP side, it's that the TUKRP side are *happy* to be little farmers just chugging along in obscurity getting medals, and in the eyes of their little cult if they leave that one person in place nothing will be "upset".

AMD lost by a whim and seemingly by a personal grudge. He would have won this month with his barnstorming manifesto.

Beta lost. That was my prediction. It is not a matter of cults but more a matter of Huey vs Who He?

I actually voted for Beta and it's rare I make my vote known.

@Chaz I don't think Goats would back AMD - they didn't previous which cost us a handful of votes.

And yet Beta published the most articles the previous month out of the administration (Dept of Ed). So, it's more a case of raising his profile further I guess and making sure he gets recognized for all the work he has done!

Actually @SHA - I did not invent the TUKRP to encompass the seeming collaboration of TUP-UKRP-WRP - it was already extant and being used by others when I arrived back on these shores. And from observation, the label holds.

On the policy ideas - I'm guessing even if they were TRS policy ideas, everyone on the TUP-UKRP-WRP side of the fence is going to say "This was ALL Huey" without accepting where the ideas come from. It's like a lot of the cabinet that are doing the work are actually from TRS... do TRS get any credit for that? No they don't. You can bet they'd get credit if they were TUP-UKRP-WRP though.

It's a bit ironic given Huey never really promotes or self-aggrandizes his work, but just gets on with it without thank or favour ^
