Letter to my Bulgarian friends

The relationship between our members and the risk of turning into ONE.

Hi dear friends

I have decided to devote some of my -scarce lately- time to present my thoughts about the relationship between two of EDEN members -namely, Bulgaria and the newest addition, Turkey.

You may or may not know me in Bulgaria. Allow me to give you a feedback of my relationship with your country, fellow Bulgarians. When Bulgaria was at a distressful situation with its former alliance, I recall that BUlgaria had made a decision that dissapointed ONE. Do not ask me what exactly, I was never good at remembering stuff. As a reaction to that, lazokrats decided to punish Bulgaria for their "disobedience", let us say. Me and a few other thought that this was an unethical action, regardless of alliances. And we chose to help Bulgaria against that action, by tanking heavily for your regions.

I believe that this was the first step (or one of the steps) to help Bulgarian people realize the importance of having true allies, not opportunists. The latest events in EDEN, have resulted to the addition (at least this is my understanding! 😛) of Turkey to our allies. The effect was significant for the future battles, since the additional damage of Turkey made a marginal positive difference against ONE- or what is left of it, anyway...

The latest consequence was the deletion of Serbia from the map (who would have EVER expected it?..).

"Ok Megalexandros, and why should we give a rat's ass? We have no chance of getting extra resources we so much need for our economy!!!"

Point taken. But here is where we have to consider the 'opportunity cost'.
Opportunity cost is the cost of any activity measured in terms of the value of the next best alternative foregone (that is not chosen). It is the sacrifice related to the second best choice available to someone, or group, who has picked among several mutually exclusive choices.(source: wikipedia)

So, if the second best alternative was to have Turkey in ONE(which I believe was the only other option) the result would be that ONE would most likely still have the upper hand...even by a slight margin. Now, I am not a strategic analyst, I am talking based on discussions with senior EDEN members and with what I see in the battles I participate lately.

To stop busting your nerves, I just wanted to ask you guys to try to think a bit more holistic.

Yes, Turkey is your arch enemy, as was ours for nearly 4 years in the game.

But since it joined EDEN, it has helped the alliance with some good damage. It has also helped in battles of Bulgaria, if I recall well.

Yes, there are things that need to be clarified, and if there is a disagreement by one member it needs to be respected by the rest.

But this valid point is something leaders of the countries must address.

Yes, there are parts of Turkey that cheat. BUT tell me that eGreece had no cheaters, that eBulgaria has no cheaters, that ALL eCountries do not cheat (some more professionally that others, i.e. lazokrats in the near past).

But let me tell you something. I quit being a moderator because I had no time to deal with the massive amount of cheaters from all countries. It is a huge task that needs tons of time, and cannot be done free of charge, if you ask me. Mods do the best they can, but it will never be enough. I do not know about other games, but this one is vulnerable to cheating. All of us who play and pay ( like idiots) this game accept this by actually participating in it.

So

Friends, let us give this effort a chance. You probably are right on most of your arguments. Nevertheless, consider what I am saying here.

LET US PLAY THIS EXCUSE OF A GAME TO MAKE THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN WHAT REAL LIFE MAKES US TO DO.

ENJOY THE GAME THROUGH THE FRIENDS YOU MAKE

Thank you for reading this
