Join the eUK Awakening. We can do this.
Topher Fair
Time to shake things up around here and I need your help! This is not a political party (yet) so anyone can join in. I want to start a movement to reverse the UK from it's decline and turn us into a power in this game.
Iain Keers gave you the #boringing, I bring you the #awakening! Now this isn't going to work if I just dictate what is going to happen (even if I had all the answers which I don't) so I wonder what would happen if everyone posted one idea to improve the UK below? What if we could implement those together?
I like to lead by example so I'm going to do my own idea posted yesterday in this newspaper. I'll start a permanent education article in the media with links to important information for new people and hopefully get it running this week.
This way my article is going to work is that i'll repost it every two days, as articles can only stay 2 days in the media. I'll need some help to vote it to visibility and I'm thinking of ways to pay/convince people to do this!
It'll mostly have links to the still active political parties, MUs and government departments to direct players to other players to play with. Guides, NHS and anything else can also be included so let me know if you think something should be included.
Thanks for reading!

Talking Points:
#1 Ideas to improve the UK.
#2 Things to include in new/returning player links article.
Ok here's a suggestion that has cropped up on a regular basis:-
A national MU - you stated new/returning players don't know which MU to join to fight against France (not that we are at war with France - yet)
This would need to be:-
funded and controlled by the Government/Congress
strict limit to the number of weapons available
increased supplies for when the eUK was under attack
funded when the government was losing money
one alternative is to restrict the unit to only those players who are below level 35, so that it mirrors the NHS food funding for active young players. Once people reach level 35 it is then their responsibility to join one of the privately funded MU's.
Thanks Paul!
Idea #1: I was thinking that one of the existing active MUs could take in new players, maybe with some cash from the government to help/incentivise. Really easy to set up without making new command structures or getting new volenteers or repeating work already done by others.
Idea #2: Maybe even have them totally focus on D1. Then another MU could be encouraged to be D4 focused etc... we only seem to have ~4 active big MUs... so that's one division each?
Iain Keers??
Try to pick a more relevant target

I'm trying to be diplomatic and not insult so much active players we want to keep around. Nearly wrote in the mini satan Appleby instead 😁
All you'll do, Goku, is bitch that everyone in power is doing a terrible job for a few weeks and then go inactive again for another three months. Seen it many times before.
" I want to start a movement to reverse the UK from it's decline"
This is disingenous. The game itself is declining, but the eUK's relative position has not; we are still a thoroughly mid-ranked country that does damage in the 20-30 range- if you take the last six months or so the eUK has already improved its position over the first half of 2015 with a better tax income a (generally) more active congress and some close relationships aborad nurtured.
Of course you can go on about how nothing is being done for 'new players' but I'd challenge the idea that there is a great deal more that the eUK can do that hasn't been done in the past. Yes, activity in the MoEd has been non-existent due to a lack of people who actually want to do the job, and if you're saying you want to plug that gap then cool- however I suspect this is really a ploy to get yourself to appear as the good guy once again and try and worm your way into some form of power.
The fact is outside of giving newbs advice and pointers for the political side of the game, in terms of developing their account there is almost nothing we can do. Newbs are f*cked in this game, because of the way that the devs have designed it. If they don't go big on the political or media side, there is almost nothing of interest to do.
"turn us into a power in this game." - you know full well this isnt possible unless you have several thousand people willing to join the eUK for the next two years.
In terms of ideas to make us stronger we have reached the point where as paul has said the only really wholescale change we could make would be to unify the top MUs under one command structure funded by the government. But in reality its unachievable due to peoples' pride
You have low standards. Only sticking around if game is fun, why else would I?
You'll only stick around if people finally let you have some power you mean
Ok?
#1 Install Astrid as an all powerful dictator
#2 Include a link to the NHS application form (there's still a from, right? If not put links to Madelina so they can PM her), all the government newspapers still in use, and the other obvious stuff.
Agree with #1, but "All powerful" will need to include the ability to reverse any temporary bans Plato might hand out...
Are you actually Keers?
Get Goku to try and PTO Japan.
Oh wait nvm.
Try? I actually did it!

#3a One active player connecting to 1-2-3-4-5 new players for advice etc
#3b In stead of one active, a small group. Sometimes a sometimes b, depending on how people wants it.
It helped me a lot -continuing- playing the game that I had two advisors and the NHS 😉
Ah, so that XLDJ or LadySovereign or whatever is it now, that is your multi I guess, cool.
Education article exists already fam

eUK's decline is caused by people constantly whining about a decline
Check the MoEd newspaper for lots of guides. The MoEd is useless now (I did an article on this recently) but if you look a year ago in the paper you will find some good guides by me, Betafoxtrot and a few others.
I don't know how to find the NHS link but if you can, add it.
A good guide would be just a small FAQ of things new players always ask.
