Day 758, 09:27 Published in USA USA by Bia Pandora

Hey there, Friends! It’s been awhile since the last issue of “The Women of eRebublik”! Sorry about that, I’ve been tied up in other things.

Thanks to the wonderful subscribers who have kicked me in the rear with their “When’s the next issue coming out, Bia???” messages, I <3 you guys and gals! Forgive me in advance if some of these ladies have added to their accomplishments since last month when I interviewed them.

In this issue we meet some International players. These ladies have shown me nothing but courtesy and respect, regardless of what eCountry they choose to play for. I ask that you all show them the same courtesy and respect as worldwide readers!

Now for the questions:

The Estrogen Dungeon (hereafter referred to as TED): Has being a woman helped or hindered your eLife?

Alkainia: I'd say being a woman has both helped and hindered me, just as much as if I was a man. Men are hindered also, just in their own special way 😛

Ember Firespiral: I don't really think it has done either. eJapan is a very fair and equal place, and because of my political involvement I have not traveled to any other countries. I don't foresee any future desire to, either.

Etheodoria Vulpine: Well I never really thought of it being a bad or good thing, it hasn't effected me.

Roxort: Both, depends on how you look on it.. some people are more friendly and some less friendly. But I think it’s up to every person no matter what gender you have.

simonica: Well in the beginning some of guys thought that a woman was not good enough for higher positions in an eCountry. Even coming from a more conservative region I don't have a problem anymore and our country has other women players in good positions.

TE😨 Have you had any negative experiences because you are a woman?:

Alkainia: To be honest the only negative responses I've ever gotten have been jokes, nothing serious. I've noticed that most of the community treats me just like one of the guys...except sometimes they hit on me 😛 But I’m sure they hit on the guys as well 😮

Ember Firespiral: I have been sexually harassed a bit (and was the victim of an attempted rape by an eAustrian member of the Brazilian Army that moved to eJapan for a short time in the IRC), and quite annoyed by the repetition of the phrase, "There are no girls on the internet!" But that's about it. Oh, and I've been called a whore because I participate in the sexual chat just as much as the men do, but only by a few select people. It's a bit infuriating how the RL double-standard still rears its ugly head online as well.

Etheodoria Vulpine: eAustralians aren't as chauvinistic as they seem. Only some of the eForeign IRCers have gotten a bit too friendly with me. *cough Jail Bait uncough*

Roxort: Not really, I’ve been accepted by all and they treat me with the same respect that I give them.

simonica: Sometimes some bad comments in the newspaper or chat conversations but nothing much different from other citizens, male or female. I remember positive moments, which I have more of, especially with my colleagues, which help me in my achievements.

TE😨 What has been your proudest moment?

Alkainia: I'd say my proudest moment was my ability to become Congresswoman of Wales without using the fact that I’m a Woman to gain votes. In fact most people (except a few party members at the time) were not even aware I was Female, since I tend to keep it on the DL. I want people to respect me for who I am and my ideals, not my Gender.

Ember Firespiral: My proudest moment was definitely when the ULJ reached the Top 5 the first time since I joined it. A mere two days earlier I had declared on the forums that we could make it into the Top 5 in no time.

Etheodoria Vulpine: I'm always proud of my work because I'm the top! I'm the Coliseum. I'm the Louvre Museum. I'm a melody from a symphony by Strauss. I'm a Bendel bonnet, I'm Shakespeare's sonnet, I'm Mickey Mouse... ♪♫ (Cole Porter - You're The Top)

Roxort: Becoming a Congress member – receiving the fifth most total votes in whole eSweden that time.

simonica: Become President of eB&H. I’m also proud of meeting every great new person that I do through conversation or work.

TE😨 What are you working on achieving right now?

Alkainia: As of Late I have been getting more into helping the Communes run, to give jobs to new players and to show them how Communism can really work in this game. Despite common belief. 😛

Ember Firespiral: Right now I am mostly trying to increase the size and activity of the ULJ. We are having a Pajama Party in the ULJ IRC on Wednesday evening 3PM-?? server time! I'm very excited about implementing this new tradition, which will include a few other kinds of parties yet to be determined, too! (*TED notes that this interview was done last month, please contact Ember for new information😉

I am also trying to grow myself a bit more before presidential elections roll around because I have been asked to be Dokomo's VP if he wins the elections this month. It was a huge honor for me, and it will be a great step along my path to someday become CP myself, but I am worried that I am not ready for the responsibility. Everyone else has faith in me and believes I am, so I am going to trust them, and work hard to make sure that I do not let them down!

Etheodoria Vulpine: Prime minister (or Country President) of eAustralia.

Roxort: Starting my own corporation and rule the whole world 😁

TE😨 What advice would you give to new female citizens?

Alkainia: Other then the normal game advice I'd say don't reveal your gender until you feel the time is right. In fact, my characters Wellness Person is a guy (but that was on accident I swear!) and I've managed to build up respect by having people not just me for common discriminatory reasons. And to me that has really shown through.

Ember Firespiral: Move to eJapan and join the ULJ! We will make sure you are treated fairly and enjoy your time with us! ~.^ Seriously, though, female citizens don't really need any special advice in my experience with eRep. It's been a very fair place, and, other than Akki and his cronies (including the PEACE "bros&quot😉, everyone has shown me just as much respect as a man. Just find a political party you like, and don't be afraid to speak up for what you believe in!

Etheodoria Vulpine: Appear at the right moment in time. I learned that the hard way.

Roxort: Kick-ass girl 😉

simonica: Take part in this eWorld - don't just sit and watch! 🙂

TE😨 Is there anything that you’d like to add?

Alkainia: We were all born equal. Let’s try and keep it that way 🙂

Ember Firespiral: I have only been in eRep for a few months, but I feel very much a part of the community. eJapan has become an extended family for me. I have several people's AIM screen names and phone numbers. I really love my ecountry! *huggles eJapan*
Thanks for interviewing me! This has really been a huge honor for me! *huggles TED*

Etheodoria Vulpine: I want Lazors to come out of my Eyes.

Roxort: Thanks for including me in your newspaper, greetings from me and your allies eSweden 😉

TE😨 Thank you, Ladies; it’s been a pleasure meeting you all!
