Is Asteria all that exist?

Alliances seen through the eyes of an oldNEWB

Looking at the map and watching the battles at hand, trying to figure out who is fighting who or what is happening after a long period of absence proves a most difficult task. Go figure how difficult it is for players who never really went beyond clicking on the ingame screen.
This game still lacks a good oversight of what is going on. It takes a lot of effort to find out what you want to know. Guess the smart country leaders can still take advantage of that fact.

Anyway for myself and maybe a few others who are interested I will try to get you some updates on alliances and some other countries’ positions.

Asteria


Founded in February 2014, consisting currently of Romania, Argentina, Serbia and Slovenia as original founders, with Brazil and China as additions later on.

Pacifica


So we see a number of countries in the list of MPPs that are part of another alliance called Pacifica. USA has MPPs with all but Romania and Serbia. Colombia has MPPs with all and Finland with all but China and Brazil. Latvia and Taiwan both have 3 MPPs going, respectively, with Argentina, Romania and Serbia for Taiwan and Romania, Slovenia and Serbia for Latvia.
I think it is fair to say that Pacifica and Asteria are working for the same goal.

Nebula


An alliance of all small countries who all answer to one or more overlords or at least have some pretty compelling MPPs which would suggest that they are part of the one sided alliance structure the eWorld is in right now.
Czech Republic has only 3 MPPs and amongst them are Argentina and Serbia, with only Australia within their own alliance.
It seems Australia has more money for MPPs and is also more diverse in its choices . Next to Slovenia and Serbia, being the only Asteria MPPs they have, they also seek their protection with Poland and Hungary.
Montenegro, again a very small country, has only one MPP within its own alliance, and next to that, Serbia. For Norway the direction is very clear, with both Argentina and Serbia next to Slovenia; they put their hopes in Asteria. A bit the same situation for Uruguay, with both Argentina and again Serbia in their MPP stack. Nothing different for Japan and Israel, with the latter only having two MPPs to count on; it is again safe to say they find themselves within the influence of Asteria.

Orion


France, Canada, Sweden, Iran and Peru forming another small cosy alliance with France being firmly aligned with Romania, Serbia, Argentina and Slovenia makes them another stronghold of the Asteria clan. Canada,Sweden, Peru and Iran aren’t very different. except some minor differences.


So who else?

Hungary


Looking at the stack they have, it is safe to say that they find themselves in the same boat as all previous countries I talked about. The odd ones out would be Germany and The Netherlands, but we see that The Netherlands also has MPPs with Argentina and the associated country, USA.

Poland


The same story here it seems, except they do not have Serbia in their list.

Greece


A bit of an odd one out, although strong ties with Romania and Argentina from way back, they also hold Turkey and Croatia in their MPP list. That being the exception, it is again safe to say where they turn to even when they are not part of the initial alliance anymore.

Is there another side left?

I guess there is, although I can’t see any opposing alliance, only individual countries desperately fighting off the Asteria machine - for example, UK, who are as of yesterday almost completely wiped by Argentina. Others always fight the same ongoing battles like Bulgaria and Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). This raises the question: When will someone stand up against Asteria? Who is brave enough? I for one am very curious to see how this is going to evolve.



Now on to more important news about the best MU in Belgium.



With 9 out of 11 active fighters we dominate Division 4 in the Belgian MU list. Sadly we don’t have soldiers in the lower divisions but we are open to recruits.

Director9, our super commander is always on the look out for setting a good DO. You have the company of some of Belgium’s finest, and above that you get supplies!
There are two supply programs available:
Program 1, for the most active soldiers, gives you 40cc + 20 tanks, incl housing
Program 2, for the more mundane hitter, still provides you with 40cc + 10 tanks

Also, Elynea has made new borders for our avatars, and all members who wear them before Day 2780 will get 1G.
