Clopoyaur has carried out an interview with 'eRepublik's Admin', the Head of Moderators and another Moderator, for his Twitch channel. You can check out the full recorded version here. In this article I'm going to highlight some of what was said.
The full video is over 3 hours long so it is not something everyone has time to watch. If you have 10 mins to watch I would recommend the suggestions part which starts at 01:54:50. I would also recommend the 03:05:00 bit. Here are all the points I recorded that I think are particularly relevant:
Economy
- There are no marketplace bots made/operated by eRepublik employees.
- There are no monetary market bots made/operated by eRepublik employees.
- No changes to be expected on the economy side of the game in the near future.
Military
- The eRepublik team recognise the gorilla module is flawed and it will be changed at some time.
- Plans are under way to change divisions.
New Players
- They recognise the game does not offer enough for new players.
- Admins want the community to take action to keep people playing (they admit the game is community based. i.e what the game offers alone in terms of buttons to push is not enough).
- Admins have a 'concrete' plan to bring 'tonnes' of new players to the game.
General
- 'We have not reached the full potential of Dictatorship'
- Is there a possibility for resources to be redistributed in the future? - Yes (they indicate not in the next 3 months).
Changes that are being worked on
- Improve media module graphics.
- 'A huge part of the (general game) interface is going to change.'
- Lighter interface that looks better, moves faster and is not 3-4 years old so is up-to-date.
They have stated that they listen to community suggestions and try and work on ideas that they deem feasible. If you have any ideas you want some help on building up before suggesting to the admins I can give you a hand. Also if you write an article and want promoting a good, concrete idea I can help publicise it just send me a message. If you want an article from a language other than English put through google-translate and then put into good quality English I can also help.

All I took from watching 5 minutes was damn I'm in the wrong job. They so young and running a company like this.

The fact it keeps showing me Greenland and not the UK makes me think it'll never leave beta

also, saying it is easy than doing it, admin will implement their plans in 2-3 years, not sure if those changes will be good or not.

Until we eliminate bots game goes into decline ... do not respond to the economy because they bot players totally pulled down the economy and their perception ekonomy.If find a way to eliminate the bots ... .these game might revive.Their answers in the interview were naive and answers naive kids brainwashed. My prognosis is poor ... a game but have bots and now is completely downloaded (for example ... Those complaints admin none of the original nickname) ... My view now of this game ...
