Hot Summer CURRAHEE

CURRAHEE!

Gnilraps here, with some common sense advice on how to get the most out of Plato’s latest event, “Hot Summer”.

Let’s face it, this is not Plato’s finest work. But it’s a big wrinkle in the status quo, and that means we need to change our process.

The first thing you need to understand is that there is a lot more Gold out there for the taking.

Normal Conditions
Under the normal battle conditions, a Campaign required a minimum of 8 rounds, 2 of which were Air.

Let’s total the minimum amount of available Gold for both sides under the non-event battle campaign system. The math below represents the following:
(minimum number of rounds) x (gold rewarded for BH) x (2 “sides”)

Division 1: 6x2x2=24 Gold
Division 2: 6x3x2=36 Gold
Division 3: 6x4x2=48 Gold
Division 4: 6x5x2=60 Gold
Air Combat: 2x30x2=120 Gold

That’s a minimum of 228 Gold per Campaign that used to be available.

Hot Summer
Under the Hot Summer Event conditions, each campaign requires a minimum of 5 rounds. The Sky Hero reward was reduced to 8 Gold. Let’s look at the minimum amount of available Gold for both sides. The math below represents the following:
(minimum number of rounds) x (sectors per round) x (BH/SH Gold) x (2 “sides”)

Division 1: 5x3x2x2=60 Gold
Division 2: 5x3x3x2=90 Gold
Division 3: 5x3x4x2=120 Gold
Division 4: 5x3x5x2=150 Gold
Air Combat: 5x3x8x2=240 Gold

That’s a minimum of 660 Gold per Campaign that is currently available.

Therefore, per Division, Hot Summer offers the following minimum potential Gold boost per division:

D1: 2.5x
D2: 2.5x
D3: 2.5x
D4: 2.5x
Air: 2x

Are you with me so far? CURRAHEE!!!

So how do you go get that Gold?

Let’s face it, you’re going to have to work a little harder. And you’re going to have to use the new “Campaign Map”. But if you do a little bit of hunting, there’s Gold in them thar hills!

First of all, allot the maximum amount of strength in as many terrains as you can. For newer players, you may not be able to max out even one Terrain. That’s OK, you are likely focused on Air Combat anyway, and believe me, there are plenty of 8G Sky Hero medals out there for the taking. But if you’ve got some strength, max out as many terrains as you can, then focus your attention accordingly.

Here’s the list published by the eUS Government indicating the Terrains we will be using most commonly:

Suburbs
Wasteland
Mud
Plain
Beach
Hills
Industrial
Desert
Jungle
Urban

I recommend you pick from that list.

When looking for a place to drop your damage, you have a couple of options. You can use the “EVENTS” filter on the Wars Page to find current battles within your Terrain specialty. (Protip: you can program a PRESET for ease of use) Scan these battles and find one where you can drop your load. There are LOTS of opportunities, many of which will be in eUSA. Your other option is to scan current eUS Battles looking for places to drop damage. You’re going to find opportunities if you look.

If you are one of the many Air Combat specialists, there are hundreds of available battlezones for you to find a place to score a quick and easy 8 Gold. Most times, 15,000 damage should do it.

And if all you want is to maximize your Prestige Points, simply use the EPIC filter and focus your energy there. During the Hot Summer event you should be able to accumulate plenty of Energy Bars that way.

And if you are tanky on the ground, look around. Use the Campaign Map to select a sector, peek in, and just as often as not you will find battle zones where nobody has dropped any damage even if the battle is 10 or more minutes old.

The long and short of it is this: there is lots and lots of Gold to be had. Go get it. Quit complaining about Plato! This Hot Summer event is basically your opportunity to pad your gold account with Gold to spend on whatever you want.
