Gerald Smyth for CP

Day 2,018, 18:45 Published in Ireland Ireland by Gerald Smyth

Hello Eire!

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for president of Ireland!

I have been a long time member of the ILP and LPA leadership. I have been involved in various departments of Ireland's governance including Foreign Affairs and Community.

The ILP and Ireland has overall been inactive recently and I hope to help to turn that around.

I will be releasing my cabinet here shortly. Raven Anarcho helped me compose it and I'll be asking around here shortly. As I said, I'll be posting that soon.

Btw, I'm not running because I hate Sweet. He's a component, respected candidate and I expect a clean campaign. A democratic Ireland will have an election with two very excellent candidates.

CAMPAIGN ASSURANCES
I will not make campaign promises. I'm not that kind of politician. I have three very simple assurances.

Campaign Assurances:

1.) To conduct a poll on which alliance Ireland wants to join.
2.) To liberate Ireland from the British. First by renewing a dialogue of peace and diplomacy. If this does not work we will enact coordinated means of military liberation campaigns with the assistance of our allies.
3.) Promote Irish culture and education through the eIrish University.

To expand on the first point: I will have various pollsters conduct and verify an all inclusive, expansive poll in order to help us decide our fate democratically. My staff and I will conduct extensive research into various alliances and I hope Ireland will enter it with an open mind.

Secondly, I hope to liberate Ireland. The British have their reasons to keep us down. But, I hope new leadership will be inclusive to the concept of an independent Ireland. If the British aren't willing to play nice, we'll coordinate national liberation strikes. We've done it before and we'll do it again.

Third, MikeBane and Anthony Colby (and others including myself) have been working hard on developing an educational resource called eIrish University for players both old and new. This will be part of the cultural revitalisation Ireland is needing to stay alive.

Ireland deserves a strong leader with strong plans. So let's go get them!

(cabinet will be posted soon as previously stated)

Sincerely,

Gerald Smyth
