eCanada To Return All Taxes?

Well, our current CP seems to be settling into his new role quite well, and is already doing what I feared most. Making rash decisions because 'Allies'. Right now in congress, there is under debate a motion to pay full freight for an MPP with Switzerland. This by itself isn't really a big deal, the problem lies in the fact that the Swiss recently paid us rent to live in one of our regions. They failed to hold this region (with our constant help) because Slovenia is determined to wipe them.

The determination of the Slovenians should not be underestimated. Sooner or later the Swiss will be wiped, while I don't mind MPPing them and helping delay the inevitable, what I do care about is the conversation going on in ODC. Apparently, the tax money collected from you by the government has no use and so we might as well just use it to pay for an MPP with a nation that is wealthier than us!



I question any government that would take our hard earned tax dollars and put it towards such a frivolous use, the whole point of collecting any tax, according to LAST months congress was for MPPs and COs. Fair enough. I find it surprising how when we were in CoT, we went hat in hand to the HQ and asked to allow us not to sign MPPs with all member nations because we were poor. Then we had offers from an incredibly rich citizen to give the government money. Suddenly this month, we have so much cash and so little need for it, we'll just throw it away!



I urge all citizens to PM their favorite congress member and tell them to show some respect for you, for us. Use our tax dollars wisely, and don't refer to them as useless. 'Cause if that's the case, the Government should go ahead and turn all tax revenue into food/tanks and just give it right back to the citizens.
