Join the new world

I started my political career as a diplomat. Sadly, hardly a handfull of todays politicians can say the same thing. (Change one letter and it's thong. lol buts.) Before i so drastically left, (I'll get to why later) I attempted to start a program where swedish diplomats would translate SSI articles and post them in other EDEN nations as well as gather information in their nations and translate them and gather the best of the best each week and post them for me and the vice MOFA to post in a magazine we were planning to start. Tell me that doesn't sound like an awesome idea and I will retort, quite logically, you're stupid.

I did put some work in it but I underestimated how much work it would take. That's irrelevant now because the reason I had the idea is that there is no need for diplomats anymore, That's why few people can say they got anywhere from being a diplomat anymore. It doesn't matter anymore. You're either allied or an enemy. It'sthat simple. Back in the day diplomats were of vital importance. As it is now and has been since before I was even president, no one gives a shit.

O RLY?

Fucking RLY. Back in the beta we had something called trade agreements. Back then trade worked pretty much as it does now. We could set an import tax and an export tax. However, we could also place an agreement with an ally that meant that this ally had priviliges as well we had privileges with them. For that reason we needed Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Diplomats. Unless you speak anything other than swedish or english, I guess there isn't much point. Back in the beta, you needed at least 10 people to keep up with foreign policies. The president can do it all now.

Since then, the government has lost controll of the gold/sek exchange wich means that even if we change taxes it doesn't matter. Sooner or later we have to stop paying the military and that means that sweden will no longer be awesome at anything. As it is now we're printing money to pay for an old policy. All because admins introduced Lana.

When 2.0 comes along, we might not need politicians at all. All we do now is fight over voters. And thats why I quit. Not because of all the bullshit I've read in the media lately and certainly not because FBS isnt in the lead anymore. Hell, in the end I might even miss hating Radsoc.

I left for the same reason Ziggy did. Admins. But just like him I'll say this: I might come back one day. When the appeal is back.

PS. I have to mention Radsoc for the fact that it took him less than a week to become the most controversial and hated person on erep. The trolls nowadays can never ever live up to that. Mombassa was a great troll, I knew him in Hypogeum, but he showed some measure of intelligence in his trolling. Being able to stage coups and revolutions would make this game more interesting, so he had a point. Nothing Radsoc ever did had a point, ever. No one in this game has ever pissed me off as much as Radsoc, not even the guys on irc, although you fucking tried, For that, I salute you Radsoc. But I still hate you, even though I hope you're still here if I return. We need dickweeds to look good. That's how politics work

PPS. I just noticed, Isy has been sending me food to keep me alive. That is the kind of shit that makes me love this game. Serously, of all the people I've pissed off in this game, Isy sends me food. If you don't get it, you're a noob. Just know that it's beautiful.
