DemNL Exit Polls Show Victory for Incumbent President Shawtyl0w

The Hague - Polls are closed and votes are being counted here at the DemNL Party Headquarters, but everything shows that the first DemNL party election in months will end in victory for the incumbent Party President Shawtyl0w. The Utrecht Herald has been on the spot to follow the developments and interview both candidates and members.

Sign of Hope
Starting with the presumed victor, mr. Shawtyl0w. We asked him for a brief statement on the elections and the renewed trust the party has shown him.
"I believe the recent elections for party presidency were a sign of hope for Democratisch Nederland. An election race between the established party president and a hungry, newly returned opposer. With both candidates releasing an election article we've got little to complain about their activity. I believe the final vote count will be highly influenced by the level of trust earned by both candidates at this point in time. Even though Henry Ackerman has proven dedicated to act as party president and his enthousiasm is infectious, he might not have earned enough trust from his party (yet) when facing myself as an opponent."

"Shawty Stay Sharp"
Challenging candidate Henry Ackerman was also willing to share his thoughts on the election with us:
"First of all, I have to say that I dearly missed the thrill of running a campaign and awaiting election results than could have gone either way at this point. Unfortunately for me, this time it seems my well-respected colleague enjoys the preference of our wonderful members. I perceive this outcome as a message from my party to critically reflect on the last period that I held political offices for the both party and country. Lastly, I wish to congratulate my dear friend Shawtyl0w on his victory. I do believe that under his leadership the party is still in good hands, and that this election has given it new life. However, I also wish to warn Shawty to stay sharp as I promise to give my very best to earn back the trust of our community."

It seems that the atmosphere at the party remains as bright as ever, if not brighter, as both members and candidates embrace the so-called 'new sign of hope' this election has brought them.
"When the PP campaigns are more elaborate than some CP campaigns you know you are in the right party", said party member and former Minister of Education Gwom.
