Congratulations to the Winners of the Great eRepublik Avatar Contest

Dear Readers,

The Great eRepublik Avatar Contest has come to its final phase and I’m proud to announce the winners of the four categories and the extra winner chosen from those casting their votes during the contest.

¤ People

This category saw a fierce battle for first place right from the beginning. In the end it was Fiend-Stalker winning with 30 votes collected over Dr.Pain with 24 votes.




¤ Nature/Animals

Another close call between lancer450 and indielfi with the former collecting a total number of 37 votes.
Well done to indielfi for securing a strong runner-up position with 30 votes.




¤ Cartoon/Comic

X-Gamer took an early lead due to his loyal friends mass voting in the first few hours of the voting process and eventually managed to hold onto his lead right till the end. With a total of 54 votes taken he is the clear winner in the Cartoon/Comic category.




¤ Arts/Other

I never thought it could happen after more than 200 votes cast yet it almost did. We were having a tie in the Arts/Other category with Timothy Mark and Andy Wuhuuuu both standing on 25 votes before closing the voting process. In the end a late vote for Andy Wuhuuuu secured the 1,000 AUD prize for him.




¤ Voters

The additional prize of 1,000 AUD went to alis_5 who took part in the event by simply choosing his favourite from the avatars nominated. The winner was determined by using a random number generator in a process where a number had been assigned to everyone commenting on my last article. In order to filter out multiple comments only the first comment of a citizen had been assigned a valid number to.
