Champions!

When I was little I used to be very interested in football facts, but they weren't always good. Asking my dad why we have made it to 4 FA Cup finals but never actually managed to win was responded with "yeah, but we won the League Cup twice with Martin O'Neill". I have some very early memories of Leicester in my life, I remember when we were relegated from the Premier League, I remember when the new Walkers Stadium was built, I don't remember Emile Heskey playing for us (some say that is a good thing). When I was young we were constantly finishing in the bottom half of the Championship, but our chairman had a "three year plan" to get us back in the Premier League. The first year of that plan we ended up getting relegated into League One... We came back up first attempt and it took a few more years for us to win the Championship and make it into the Premier League. The first year back into the Premier League is meant to be an amazing thing, but after a few months we were rock bottom and everyone had written us off. I think you all know the story from there on. The thing that makes this so special to me is not that we were bottom of the league last season but everything that came before it. In my, my dad's and my grandad's life time nothing this good has happened to Leicester - and possibly football. I had so many friends who supported big clubs like United, Arsenal and Chelsea when we were in League One, and I don't think they will ever understand what it feels like to win a Premier League like this. I'd rather support Leicester and have one amazing season full of passion and desire in my life than support a team like United and finish near the top every season with a team full of egos. It makes the winning a million times better. I do hope we go on to fight near the top of the league for many more years, but watching a team with passion and desire is more important.
And if anyone wants to come down to Leicester in the next few weeks there will be loads of parties going on. There is a massive party in town on Saturday and most likely one will suddenly start near King Power as well. There will also be a huge party when we have the trophy parade (rumour has it that thousands of Italians are coming). Make sure you come down, it will be the biggest party on Earth!
Anyone who comments can have 10 Q7 weapons. I have loads and I will give them out. I'm in a good mood (post something negative and I wont send you weapons though).

Well 'in m8 lets just hope Partick can do the same ;p
You guys got a snooker champion in Mark Selby 15 mins after winning the title too. Incredible season. Just wish my teams had done a bit better...
Congratulations man.
Now Spurs have nothing to play for against us on the last day. 😉
I really hope Newcastle stays up.
You kept your support quiet 🙂 I want Newcastle to stay up, but you should have gone for Pearson instead of Benitez (in my unbiased Leicester opinion)
Congrats. o7
I'm hoping last night's result will mean there'll still be a St. Totteringham's Day this year too...
Congrats. I can only imagine how amazing it must be for you this week.
I'm So, so jealous.

Viva el leicester!!!
In 1994, when United won their first league title for 26 years, I was 23.
I remember what that was like, so I cans only guess how good this feels for Leicester 🙂
(no weapons thanks)
Believe or not I had the same feeling when my team Red Star won Champions League. Also remember from dad"s stories when FC Ref Star won the 1st title in Yugoslavia Championship( 1963) when I didn"t even born.
F*ck Red Star 😃
Just remembered, last time Leicester was in Europe, they played Red Star, In 2000. 1:1 in Leicester and 3:1 for Red Star in Vienna (Because Leicester didn't want to play in Serbia)

@PN hahaa if you hadn"t my one of the best and my rl friend I would just slapped you with pancake 😃 😛
O.o
you mean 1993 😛
I do.
Hahaha Boaty 1963 FC RedStar won the 1st Yugaskavia Championship title.Speaking of which damn how I didn"t remember 1948 when actually won the 1st title but that title was erased since the II World War ended.
You must be a really old person, I always thought you were young...
I like to think that I'm nicely placed between really old and young.
I'm not really interested in football, but congrats I guess.
Congratulations to the FC Leicester City entire club, from the President, sport DIrector, manager Ranieri and ofcourse all lads Vurdy,Mahrez,Belamy etc.Really happy for them to win their 1st but certainly the last title.
And for the record I am following them on Instangram CC and the pictures are from there. Also on twitter and facebook.
Who are Vurdy and Belamy?
Ooops Vardy 😛
Isn"t Belami in Leicester if not that isa nother mistake 🙂
If you're on about Craig Bellamy then he retired years ago and never played for Leicester
"Really happy for them to win their 1st but certainly the last title."
Ouch.
@VM yes "their 1st but not the last title".My damn writting mistake.
I was UP (from the Sunny South) in Leicestershire last weekend; I grew up on the Leicesterhire side of the Danelaw/Wessex bord (the Watling Street/A5) in an area where the strong Viking names (Lutterworth, Bitteswell, Ullesthorpe, Frolesworth) demonstrate it's Viking history. The local ethos has always been tolerant and welcoming of incoers from outside; consequently the City of Leicester today has a very strong ind integrated multi-cultural society.
It is great to see Leicester firmly on the map!
Oh - earlier in the week I heard a short story, written by Michael Morpugo (the War Horse author) on Radio 4, entitled 'The Fox and the Ghost King' - commenrating the momentous and unexpected victory in the Premier League by Leicester City. It is extremely well written and is well worth a listen - find it on YouTube at https://youtu.be/kH3-V__CkLE
