Geachte burgers en vrienden van eNederland,
De presidentsverkiezingen staan weer voor de deur! 5 april is het zover, jullie mogen kiezen wie en hoe het bestuur van Nederland komende maand er uit gaat komen te zien. Natuurlijk begint de show niet op die datum, en is er al veel vooraf aangegaan. Naast het campagne voeren, is er ook een stemming geweest op het forum van eNederland (www.enetherlands.nl/index.php), die helaas niet goed verliep. Met dit artikel wil ik mijn steun uitspreken aan briepe.
Na de stemming op het forum heb ik onmiddellijk mijn hulp aangeboden aan briepe, een aanbod dat hij wijselijk heeft aangenomen, en ben op zoek gegaan naar medestanders, om briepe's mogelijke presidentschap voortspoedig te laten voorlopen. Samen met ervaren spelers zoals ArtemIvanov, Prutser, Broersje en nog een aantal hebben we een gezamenlijk doel voor ogen.

Binnenlandse Zaken
De huidige discussies over ‘De Senaat’ en de onduidelijkheid erover, hebben ons laten zien dat er meer openheid geboden is. De eRepublik Wiki omtrent de regering en haar instituten zal daarom verbeterd worden, daarnaast zullen de wekelijke updates doorgaan, net zo informatief als altijd. Even belangrijk is het updaten van de Nederlandse wetten, wat de laatste stemming over de presidentsverkiezing goed heeft laten zien. Het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken zal ook trachten R&C (Recruitment & Coaching) weer nieuw leven in te blazen, nu blijkt dat het een langzame dood begaat.
Financiën
De financiële situatie is onzeker, getuige de enorme inflatie die onze nationale munt, de NLG, begaat. Om zekerheid te bieden zal ook onderzocht worden of het wenselijk is een minimum aan gold in de schatkist te houden. Een onderzoek zal plaatsvinden over onze staatsbedrijven, want het is nu onduidelijk welke er zijn en wat ze ons opleveren. Deze gegevens zullen vrij verspreid worden, samen met andere financiële gegevens, in een nieuw reportagesysteem.
Buitenlandse Zaken
Ik zou graag een actievere Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken zien, omdat er op dit gebied zeker wat te beleven valt. Om de week zal Buitenlandse Zaken jullie updaten over wat er in de wereld omgaat, omdat momenteel de buitenwereld erg van ons verwijderd is. Ook zullen we ons concentreren op relaties met onze buurlanden, denk hierbij aan België, Polen, Duitsland, Engeland en Frankrijk.
Defensie
Op het gebied van Defensie is de laatste tijd veel vooruitgang geboekt, denk hierbij aan de oprichting van de Korps Mariniers, de marine voor onze nieuwe spelers. Wij willen dit goede werk voortzetten. Wij willen de marine verder uitbreiden, huidige werking ervan evalueren, en gevorderde spelers doorlaten stromen naar een nieuwe brigade. Meer generaals en een veldmaarschalk, een prominente plaats voor ons leger op ons forum, medailles voor onze soldaten, alles om Defensie te stimuleren.
Zoals je ziet, een waterdicht plan. Meer woorden zijn er niet nodig, de rest is aan jullie, burgers van eNederland!

The presidential elections are upon us! On the 5th of April, you will be able to choose who will rule the eNetherlands and what the government will look like. Of course, the show won’t start on that date, and much has passed before it. In addition to campaigning, there has been a vote on the forum of the eNetherlands (www.enetherlands.nl/index.php), which wasn’t without problems.

With this article, I’d like to pledge my support for briepe.
Opponents will say that briepe can’t possibly perform a president’s tasks because he’s inexperienced. They’re partly right. That’s why I immediately offered my help to briepe, an offer he wisely accepted, and went searching for supporters, in order to have briepe’s presidency pass off smoothly. Together with experienced players like ArtemIvanov, Prutser, Broersje and more, we have a common goal. These are our plans for the coming month:
Home Affairs
The current discussion about the Senate and the lack of clarity have shown us that more openness is necessary. Thus, the eRepublik Wiki concerning the government and its institutes will be improved, in addition to having weekly updates, informative as ever. Equally important is updating the Dutch laws, made all too clear by the recent presidential vote. The Ministry of Home Affairs will also try to breathe new life into the R&C (Recruitment and Coaching) department, as it currently seems to be slowly dying.
Finances
Our financial position is uncertain because of the enormous inflation the NLG, the national currency, is undergoing. To provide for some certainty, it will also be investigated if it is desirable to keep a minimum of Gold in the nation’s coffers. The state companies will be reviewed, for it is now unclear which companies they are and what they yield. These data will be publicly distributed, accompanied by other financial date, in a new reporting system.
Foreign Affairs
We’d like to see a more active Ministry of Foreign Affairs, because there are a lot of things to do in this area. Every other week, Foreign Affairs will bring you up to date on the goings-on in the world, for at the moment, the outside world is far removed from us. We will also put effort into our relations with our neighbours, for instance Belgium, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom and France.
Defense
Much progress has been made in the Defense area during the previous months, for example the establishment of the Marine Corps, or Navy for our new players. We’d like to continue this good work. We want to expand the Marine further, evaluate its workings, and let advanced players move on to a new brigade. More generals and a field marshal, a prominent place for the army on the forum, medals for our soldiers, everything to stimulate Defense.
As you can see, it’s a watertight plan. There’s no need of more words; the rest is up to you, citizens of the eNetherlands!

Agreed. And it's not personal in any way, not against you, Christiaan, nor against Dennis. We just wanted to make sure there would be a good start for briepe if he got elected and decided to help him.
This game keeps amazing me.
Dennis did the same, he had a text writer (campaign manager) too right? Strange to make such a fuzz about it when it is the case with Briepe too. It only shows he got a strong team around him. So goodluck Briepe!
