Did you ever think about your involvement in this game?

It’s kind of scary. Literally, I wonder how much more involved you can get into a game. What is this feeling? We get up every morning is a grotesque fashion and slave ourselves over the daily routine that we all know too well. Work and Train, then fight in a battle that people tell us to. Maybe hunt for that Battle Hero medal to add to your magnificent collection of trophies.

Just a morning routine

We admire ever so much of the big names, the famous, and the elites of eRepublik. Listen to them, praise them, and believe them. The only thing different is eUSA faces a pto but I’m quickly learning that it really isn’t different. This has happened before, maybe not on such a serious scale. But it has happened.

It is really astonishing how much eRepublik can change from being a game to being a part of your life. That is as honest as I can put it. It becomes so adhered to your daily schedule it becomes a part of that routine you slave over, that is your real life routine. This has happened to me and I believe it is going to get worse. What’s worse is that I’m okay with that. In fact, I am welcoming it. Is that okay? Are these people my friends? Would I miss them if I quit?

Just looking at some old pictures of friends…

True it is amazing how much it can change but the real staggering aspect is how fast things can change. I went from a new player doing the simple “2 click” mode to becoming a vibrant soul in an outside community I never knew existed literally overnight. I have friends in real life who have no idea I play eRepublik, I sort of don’t want them to know. Does that make this game bad, if I hide it? Do you hide it? Am I embarrassed? Why do I love it so much then?

Just like how real life demands responsibility of course eRepublik can be demanding to. It honestly is/can be a second life. You can hold enormous amounts of positions in a seemingly limitless amount of fields which can be a real time suck. Why? Why do people do these things, for a game? Is it a game? People call it that. Maybe it really is a lifestyle instead.

Maybe we’ll never know! Rawr!

No matter what you want to call it just try to reflect on what this game really means to you. Be aware of its effects and if you, personally, are okay with it. There was no point to this article, like all of mine, maybe just to give you some thought in your head. Get those cogs rolling. I see myself being here for a very long time and I’m okay with it. I will have to watch the amount of involvement and always be aware of its effects. I advise you to do the same.

As Always,
You know it,
Love
