A terrifying story!

Hello once again readers!

Halloween is so soon! UGhhoitnuwsbqwedurfbrfdkj I'm so exicted. The candy, the scary movies, the trick or treating. I'm so inspired I have written the start of a scary story myself. I will do this ever so often in an article. I hope you take the time to read it an enjoy it. I'm not a good writer but its fun to do. It might be a little too long for everyones taste.. but again read it and tell me what you think!

Here it is!

“No!”, I shouted as I ran up the stairs, through the hallway and into my room. I shut the door. I feel safe here it is MY room after all. A few moments pass… there is a knock on the door. “Can I come in?” I, on my bed now, shove my face into a pillow wishing her away. “No! I want to be alone” I said muffling my voice through the pillow. Footsteps walking away sounds like a chorus of angels. Now I really am alone. She cannot tell who and who not I can date. I’m 14 now I am old enough to decide for myself. “Ugh!”, I shout. I take the pillow from my lap and put it on the top of my bed. I lay down and peer upon my ceiling. These walls are so confining I just want to get out of here. But I can’t with her.
Downstairs the faint whimper of my mother crying is heard. Distraught over how I turned out she feels like a failure. She didn’t take the loss of my father too well and this was the icing on the cake. Maybe if she wasn’t so strict and uptight loving her would be easy. Good thing she is gone most of the time working otherwise I’d have to kill myself. No, not literally. She gathers her composure after a few minutes of sobbing and prepares to take a shower.

I hear the water boiler turn on. This is my chance. I unlace my shoes and kick them off. I walk towards my door and push my ear up against it listening to the sounds on the other side. I think I hear the shower running in my mother’s room down the hallway but it is hard to tell. I rest my hand on the doorknob and turn it ever slightly. Of course this is probably the loudest doorknob in the world but I eventually get it turned without making too much noise. I tip toe into the hallway making minimal noise and hear the shower in my mom’s room on. Success! I really did not want to confront her again; I can’t take another mother-daughter talk. I effortlessly scurry down the stairs and enter the kitchen.
It was a big kitchen with a big tabletop island in the middle, my mother loved to cook. I spotted the grand prize, the refrigerator. I rush over and raid as much food as I think I need for the night. Individually wrapped containers of apple sauce, juice boxes, pizza , and a few cheese sticks. “This will do”, I think out loud gazing at the treasure in my arms. I retreat back into my safe place and begin munching away at the cold pizza. Pizza is always better cold. I put on the T.V. to be greeted with news. It reminds me of this horrible disease that is going around. No one knows what it is but it affects mainly adults. Good thing I’m not an adult. I lay on my bed again and close my eyes. I don’t want to go to school tomorrow… I don’t open my eyes until the next morning.

My eyes open but I can barely see. The sun is shining too bright, I wait for the world to come into color and my eyes focus. “What time is it?” I practically jump out of bed and spill the leftover pizza everywhere. The time reads 11:23 in the morning. I look out the window and see my driveway. A red beat up sedan is parked outside my garage. It is my mom’s car but it is weird seeing it here so late in the day. She leaves for work around 6 a.m. “Oh my god!”, I give a glass shattering scream as I look down upon my Mom sitting down with her back against the tire. Blood is everywhere; there is a pool of it around her body. This can’t be real. I rush out my room, down the stairs, making a right I run through the kitchen. Everything is a blur, as I frantically make my way through the kitchen, then the living room then… Alas, the back door. I open it and get a front view of the terror that was right before my eyes.

To be continued...

As Always,
