A CALL TO ARMS / GET YOU SOME
Mark Matters
This article will be opinionated.
I have not dug deep enough into the financials of our enation yet, even though there is collective data I am amassing for that analysis.
Never less, recently it has come to my attention that there is a real problem beyond our population growth (decline) and inefficiency of sectors our government. It is something I would like to address.
Before I dabble in this problem, I would like to clarify most all people I’ve come across here are fantastic individuals. Top notch A+ people. The kind that keep you going just because you hope they may smile.
Now the problem. Recently I’ve noticed a few individuals, in power positions or just well established players, have been utterly and wholesomely rude.
I mean, terribly rude. So rude you find yourself becoming irritated and bummed out. The kind of rude name calling that in RL would most likely make for a nasty situation.
While I get that not everyone is going to be chipper and some are just abrasive, these individuals are a complete detriment to this eWorld. They effectively kill the enthusiasm of “new” citizens and diminish the quality of the game.
I am from the old world. I was born originally in the pre-Emerick era, back when Dio Brando was actually still alive and around. Many of you were not even born. I died, reincarnated, and was back in RL-2012 or so, before dying yet again.
Now I’m back. The meaning of this? Let’s say I did not tell you this and I effectively was a new comer. These rude folks I have talked about, would cause that newbie to most likely leave and never come back.
They are a cancer to this game. They destroy the goodwill and interactive enjoyment in this eWorld. They are a liability vs asset.
In RL, do you get excited to get mail? (Minus bills of course) I do. I also get excited when I get PMs. It means interactive fun! Well these people seem to think that a simple inbox (that you took the time to directly send to them) is an insult.
Now to the point. The problems of our eWorld are vast. New people joining (beyond old schools and multis) are low and we are constantly threatened with the demise of the entire eWorld itself.
A cold blanket envelopes most of our upper government (excluding a few great folks still there) and interactivity as well as enthusiasm is somewhat low.
These highly rude people are simply a DANGER to the game. No one should have to deal with name calling and hyper belittling in this eWorld or in RL.
I will refrain from naming the shallow people that inspired this article, but I will say YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE and get ready, because I don’t back down.
I have a dream, a dream to see us all succeed at making our eWorld a much better place. I have a vision that has no room for insulting folks. I have a mission to make this place what I remembered it to be.
Eventually these folks will be naturally culled. No one likes the party pooper. They will eventually get a public ban. A ban the people decided, not a gag instilled by so called leaders that are really just arrogant bosses.
Good things take time. But it’s closer than you think. The future is being built as I type, the good will over come the negative and a wilting tree will grow. This is a call to arms. A challenge to be better.
Thank you for your readership.

i second your sentiments
Keep on keeping on
You do address a big problem. Some people are thinking all new players are either multies or when they are real new players they will leave soon. This makes many real people leaving the game because they are being bullied. Then they will leave ...
It is important to welcome new players, even when there are multies under the new players, because some of those new players can improve our nation. Any improvement is needed hard.
Insulting new players because you think they are a multi is not going to help. The multis stay because they knew beforehand what they signed up for and the real new players are disgusted by this kind of behaviour and leave 🙁 Only a more welcoming environment can bring us the much needed new blood.

👍👍👌👏😘
Sad but true. There are many many nice people here but a few very rude people can do a lot to spoil the fun. And fun is what a game is about. Glad to see you are prepared to fight back. Don't give up!

Sad article but true: I'm in US-ARMY and I can say 80% of the newbies join our unit, but how many of them play more than a month? Really few. Less than few.
"They are a cancer to this game." x 2
Nice to see truly good guys waking up & identifying one of the biggest problems.
Support your fight all the way, friend!
We can do much better.
