[USWP] Welcome to a new Party Presidential term

Party President Election Result from 15th January

I want to start this off by thanking not just the membership of the party for voting for me on the 15th, but also all the members of the ATO coalition who helped to ensure that the result of the party primary was upheld in the game. The attempted political take over (PTO) failed and our party is secure for another month.


So, what will this fresh PP term bring?

I want to see our party succeed and grow. It is no secret that we seem to have stagnated a little lately, so this is the start of a push to improve the party, to get people more active, to encourage others to come and join the awesome that is USWP.




To grow the party we need people who are willing to work to recruit new people and to help retain them once they come and join us. This is always the hardest job for most parties and takes the most work, so it needs a team of people who are willing to put the needs of the party to the forefront on a daily basis, who will let people know why they should join us, and who will mentor and guide those new people when they do join us. The party is only as strong as those who make up its constituent parts, and each of you who are members are a constituent part. I know not everyone can put in the sort of work required for tasks like this, but I know that you will all support those that can, and those that can should contact me so I can put them in contact with the existing team.




I can’t help with recruitment, but can I do other things?

And the answer to that question is ‘Yes’. Another of the things that I would like to see improvement in this month is our presence in the media. I will make no secret of the fact that I’ve seen the Feds party make quite a success of getting their members to post quality articles under the party banner, and so I want to start encouraging USWP members to do the same. Show people what a great party this is. Proclaim it loud and long. Go forth and make some quality articles not just about the party, but also articles that will educate and inform others about the game! There will be rewards for the best party articles published in the months, and I know you all want those shiny shiny Q7 tanks.




How do I get to stand for Congress with USWP?

The short answer here is ‘be active in the party’. To be in congress we do require you to take part in the wider meta-game (the elements not contained in just the game itself) so that you can fully participate in the life of Congress in the forums and on IRC. There will be more details on this reaching member inboxes in the next week of how to sign up and be considered. However, whether or not you want to stand for a Congress seat, remember that come Congress elections day the more people who vote for the party the more people we can get into the Congress to help with the necessary tasks of keeping the country secure and ensuring that the game mechanics that need to be looked after are done so safely. So see the first section, and encourage your friends in the game to join up and help get us more seats.
