[TT] For an internationalist struggle!

Day 3,704, 09:28 Published in USA USA by Leon Gutierrez

At times our own nations can be so chaotic that we get caught up on domestic affairs or it is so dull that we begin to wonder what else is going on in the eWorld. Luckily, the eWorld provides a lot activity but an issue I find that is presented is should the political & economic issues of the others be relevant to players of a nation whose not necessarily involved or not? In today’s article from The Toiler and on behalf of the SFP’s Freedom Writers Guild, I’d like to tackle on the notion of internationalism, with a more-so open discussion to the readers more-so than a definitive statement on the matter.

Internationalism in the eWorld is something I find lacking and I find it dangerous as it leaves players, at the very least, to only know about what is happening domestically but never internationally. They fail to see how their issues can be linked and battled together with others and a sense of alienation from the community that the eWorld offers. One can simply look at the history our nation’s media module to see my point, and as a counter point, I will present some examples that the SFP as a party and the SFP Bear Cavalry have done to get engaged internationally.

The question of “internationalism”, is a question of a political force or a political movement. Let me be clear here between the difference from “presenting the world news as it presents itself” and “linking the issues of one part of the world with another” which is the stance that is the foundation under the “-ism” in “internationalism”. It is the perspective of linking issues around the world with each other to find an international common ground between two or more parts of the world, or in a political case, groups of one types of people with one another. The former simply states the “issues” and informs the reader of what is happening with no clear connection of why it is relevant to themselves as an individual. So then, why “internationalism”?

An internationalist perspective opens more doors to finding connections between players in the eWorld. Furthermore, as a political movement, it links these players together opening a whole new level of engagement and activity that could be healthy to the community - this game is played by people representing different nations afterall. But practically this is still too broad of a view, so the task must be narrowing it down into something. That is Internationalism with regards to something. This “something”, is the internationalism of the different classes of players, and the struggles that affect them all. The Socialist Freedom Party writes in their Constitution:
1. Active participation in internationalist efforts to promote workers' freedoms and the dignity of nations and individuals throughout the New World, such as the Internationale.

Which it is doing through the active collaboration with the and is a stance I personally aim to take up in my run for PP further:
Quote:
2.Support for the defense and liberation of small and oppressed e-nations.
3.Opposition to e-Imperialism in all of its forms.

Which the SFP Bear Cavalry actively has illustrated many times, recent examples were the fighting in Latin America,Ireland, and Mexico against ASTERIA when ASTERIA members issued a series of Airstrikes as reported here https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/e-armageddon-2656770/1/20 where the commanding officers got in contact with ANDES SoD Joam02 to organize resistance wars which is still an on-going struggle today.

The bridging of these global issues form the basis of their internationalist perspective, which can be summed up in their Ten Points of Solidarity , such as
Quote:
1. The Socialist Freedom Party supports the right of players with a common ideology, culture or interests to gather together as a Political Party to empower constituents to achieve their goals regarding specific issues.
6. The Socialist Freedom Party celebrates nations who view themselves as a melting pot of free individuals from countries all over the world, and encourages the granting of asylum to those who were considered criminals for political reasons and are escaping from their oppressive governments to find freedom.
7. The Socialist Freedom Party supports the development of alliances and mutual protection pacts between nations, where the countries involved assist in the defense of countries in the alliance when attacked, or when countries in the alliance have previously had regions annexed, the allied countries would assist in rebellion by the occupants of the region.

This is how the SFP acts on Internationalism throughout the world, and it explains how they define it, and why they go about it. This foundation has served to contribute to many friendships to be formed between the party and others around the world such as the friendship between ERA and SFP in collaborative writing

In conclusion that is my case for Internationalism in the eWorld, and how some examples can be seen through the actions of the SFP and the Bear Cavalry, but not everyone is apart of the party, nor necessarily supports it thus I now revert back to the audience, and leave you all with some questions about the topic.

So, where does this leave you with the question of Internationalism?
Can internationalist perspective serve as a tool to bridge narratives?
Is internationalism as view a useful tool in eRepublik to you?
What are some ideas that you think could bridge the issues of one part of the eWorld with players from another?

Poll on your thoughts
