[PotUS] We're Going to Believe

Day 4,584, 19:22 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

I would like to start by thanking you the voters of the eUSA for your overwhelming support on June 5th. I have been on the other side of landslide victories 3 times before. Gnilraps walloped me twice in 2014 and Resoula crushed me in the Summer of 2016. It is nice to be on the winning side of a landslide election. Especially on the heels of what I consider to be a very successful term. So to those who voted for another 30 days for this Administration team I thank you humbly and sincerely. We recognize the trust you have placed in us and will strive to honor that trust.

I truly believe if we the Executive can continue to string together solid months of activity with liberal amounts of inclusion and transparency we will see what we are striving to build really take root and become the expected normal. Even in the last month I have seen significant progress and a rapid closing of the gaps in our community that until recently resembled insurmountable chasms. In the spirit of that I would like to make it plain that I will not support any sort of ATO/Hostile Takeover of WTP. I believe strongly they should be given a chance to sort out their own leadership and sovereignty. As long as they are honoring the IES protocols we have in place they have every right to conduct their Party business in whichever way they see fit.

Thomas Jefferson once said “It does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are 20 gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.” I have always interpreted that to mean people are free to believe or say whatever they wish so long as it does not harm someone else. We do not have to; nor should we need to agree with someone on everything all of the time in order to not be their enemy. It is my firm belief in terms of eRepublik gameplay that the extra means of socializing and securing primaries we have put in place are tools that can, should, and usually do enhance the experience that is eRepubilk in the eUSA. Therefore whenever I am in a position of responsibility I do everything in my power to extend opportunities for involvement and access to as many as wish to take advantage.

The reasons for this philosophical approach are fairly simple. I believe a seat at the table gives a sense of ownership. I also believe working together reduces barriers and develops a sense of commonality. I also believe this because I experienced it first hand. When I came back to eRepublik all the way back in April of 2013 I was an unknown player as I had not been super meta involved my first go around. I was also highly critical of the “we have always done it that way approach” truth be told I was something of a reactionary. I marshalled the large Federalist Congressional Caucus to assault the status quo. I did not go about these assaults with the finesse for which I have now become known.

However, I was given opportunities to be in a lot of Cabinets. I served under a lot of different CPs before breaking through. During my campaign for what would be my first term as CP, I was asked by John Largo what had changed with me. To paraphrase his question was along the lines of: “You’ve gone from a firebrand rage against the machine type to a company man. What has changed?” I will tell you now what I told him. I was given a look behind the curtain. I went from SecMed to DHS, to CoS to MoFA, and so on. I not only saw why things were done the way we did them, but was given an opportunity to take part in making those decisions. In short I was given an opportunity to be involved and take ownership.

I look forward to another month of working with a dynamic and diverse group. I am excited to continue forging bonds of friendship and trust within the eUSA. Last month was truly a pleasure, and I know we can do even better in June. We are changing hearts and minds about what is possible. As an added bonus our new TW partners should be in place and we should now be settling in to what will be the new normal for at least the next 6 months. So here is the plan for the next month assuming we do not have any unexpected surprises.

For the month of June we will be administering a Holding Relocation Program. We have placed LifesaverM in charge of it. In the very near future he will have announcements regarding this program. This program will be to reimburse those who need to move their holdings from areas in compromised states or nations we are in Training wars with to our safe states. We will need a screenshot of the expense of moving your holdings, so please do not move just yet. I myself moved factories from Connecticut and Ohio at the cost of more than a half million cc. Stay tuned on this. We hope to get it up and running very very soon.

The other area of focus is getting the National Cooperative, which will be operated under the Umbrella of the Department of Citizen affairs, more producers. If you have not seen the articles published by DoCA Secretary Max, I will give you a cliff notes version. We are looking for volunteers willing to join a pool of players who will vote on adding new infrastructure to the players involved accounts. A portion of the profits from these new factories will be given to the treasurer for adding still more factories. Eventually this will lead to enough factories to not only reach the return on investment stage, but be self sufficient and help support the programs of the Interior. If this is something you would be interested in, but feel you do not have the funds to buy in, I urge you to join anyway. There have been sizable donations to get this program started and the only thing it lacks is more participants in terms of resources. If you have always wanted to be a Captain of Industry steadfastly Working as Manager for the good of all, but lacked funds this is your opportunity. Seize it by contacting myself or Max.

In addition to this KingTaco is hard at work on the Department of Interior website he has already poured so much into. Willker Nath will continue to roll out WHPR Articles and Education Articles to keep everyone informed and educated. Paul Proteus and whoever has the whim to do so will keep you entertained and apprised of the goings on of the Executive with Press Briefs in the public section of the Executive boards. I will of course do my best to break your brains with my wall of text CP articles as well.

On the Defense and Foreign Affairs front, Pimpdollaz is looking for more individuals interested in serving as Ambassadors to the various nations of eRepublik. This is a fun and interesting way to get your feet wet in seeing just how big of an eWorld it is out there. In terms of NSC RT is always looking for help in keeping Prios updated and available to the larger eUSA. RT is doing a lot for us and has done so for a very long time. It would be a very good thing to work with him. He will teach you a great deal not just about Defense/NSC but also Foreign Affairs. If you are interested in getting involved contact him. In terms of projects we are looking into renting one of our fruit bonuses to Canada, and we are also looking into adding Spain as a possible Training War partner. RT and DMJ both are also pushing to give Magnesium to Pakistan for the “Glory of Dio”

Once again I would just like to thank you the community for your vote of confidence. I would also like to thank my team one more time for a great month. I know it is a different experience when you are President, but last month for the first time in a very long time I found myself looking forward to logging in. I could not wait to see what new articles had been published, read the new Press Briefing, read the comments on the various articles, and catch up with everyone on Discord/telegram. It is my hope and intent that we have and will continue to provide that for the eUSA community. To me that is a successful administration, one that provides the players with a desire to log in and be excited about what is waiting for them there. With that as always I thank you for taking the time to read my articles. I know they can be a journey but I hope you find them worthwhile.
