[Plato Foundation] Remove the Elite Citizen Bonus in Lower Divisions

Hey, guys.
I think it’s time we talked about an issue that’s been present for quite a long time, and I assume most people are fully aware of its existence. Yet, somehow, it never managed to get fixed. I know I’ve personally tried to make the game administration team aware of this via ticket system, but to no avail. I have multiple friends who’ve been complaining about this, so given the recent implementation of the Plato Foundation project, I’ve decided to write an article about it.
So, what is this issue I’ve been talking about?
Division 4 players who buy the Maverick Pack continue to have the Elite Citizen bonus while fighting in the lower Divisions.
Background information: When you reach Level 100, there is a mission, and upon its completion, you get rewarded with a permanent +10% damage bonus (among other things). Since most Division 4 players are above Level 100, we will assume that D4 guys have this bonus in general. Obviously, nobody from Division 1, 2 or 3 has this bonus, since reaching Level 100 would mean joining Division 4.
The problem here is not the existence of the Elite Citizen bonus, but the fact that the Division 4 players get to use it outside their division (where nobody has it). It’s simply not fair, because they have a very strong and clear advantage of +10% damage per hit. If you are from Division 1, 2, or 3, then no matter how strong you are, if somebody from Division 4 joins your division and he has the same Strength and Rank as you (or higher), he will have a stronger hit just because of that Elite Citizen bonus.
When the Maverick Pack got introduced, the maxhit limitation rule was introduced in order to make the game more fair, but I think that to make the game fully fair, the Admins need to remove the existence of the Elite Citizen bonus in Divisions 1, 2 and 3. That way, Division 4 players would be fully equal to their lower Division counterparts.

I would rather see them removing Legend ranks than those 10% 🙂
Why?
Cause when you enter div 3 and we fight, you will still have approx. 100k/hit more than i do(and a lot more if it`s your TP battle)!
I know, most of the people will say that you spent a lot more RL money then i did to get there... But is it fair?
I do not get lvl-ups and rewards for reaching lvl 100,200,300...not to mention the time before IK when i just watched you guys in d4 playing and i could not do sh!t cause of exp xD
So yeah, those 10% is just drop in the sea but i am glad that at least someone from glorious D4 has enough b*lls to mention that let alone to try to help us!

BTW i am sorry to inform you that Plato Foundation has nothing to do with "ideas" about changing the game! It`s for something else 🙁
The Level 300, 400, 500, etc. rewards are probably the biggest problem, and I honestly don't know how to fix that. It is too late now, they probably shouldn't have been introduced in the first place.

Do you realize that the issue you're bringing up has nothing to do with Plato Foundation?
If this article isn't connected to the idea behind the Plato Foundation project, then this idea should be explained using more details, so that we may understand what is and what isn't a candidate for the project.
Either way, it is still a year-old issue that needs to be fixed.
Honestly, it seemed to be a rather simple and well-explained concept (described in the forum post). Basically Plato Foundation gives you a certain amount of Gold so you could yourself implement your society-oriented projects. Your suggestion does no fall into that category. And yet, here you are, 1 year later you still buy packs, you still buy IK, you still battle monsters from Division 4.
The way I see it, Admins got what they wanted. You obey to that. They are the boot, you are the ant.

Im the best in d2. My hit matters. Also when I use my legend bonus in TR battles, Im still stronger than d4 monsters. However, Im exceptional on that matter. There arent many d2 who can fight against monsters.

1 year later, they didnt give a single fck about what you, me, or any other have said. Maverick is still here, and you are still here buying packs. Luckily, I began 2-clicking since end of March.. God bless CB script.
Removing 10% is a nice idea. How about the legend bonus? Wanna hear some thoughts.
Also, I commented this on Rican's article, but need to say again. Plato's foundation is a money source for baby boom, interesting contests, or good-quality series articles. If you are planning to make something else that is good idea to ask for funding, but admins won't give golds from foundation only for this article. eRepublik Idol from eNorway was a great example 🙂 that definitely deserves some endorsement from admins.
Anyway article is more powerful way to give your thoughts to everybody and push admins to make some improvements. Happy you bring this up.

I've seen comments that are connected to the Legend bonus.
My opinion about that is that it should stay, simply because lower Division players have that same bonus, like Division 4 players. I don't see any difference. And this makes a D4 player stronger only in his TP battles, which means when he's fighting for 1 country.
The Elite Citizen bonus is a far serious issue, because it applies for every country, and it makes it a lot easier for D4 players to steal lower Division BH's. It's not a fair match. Without this bonus, it would be harder for them to steal medals, because the hits would be identical.

How about if the entire division system gets reorganized by maxhit, not by experience and the maverick pack gets removed. I think that would be a far better solution than anything else.
It would, but doing something like that would require far more resources. My suggestion is just an idea of how to improve the current (destabilized) situation, until a permanent solution can be found.
I disagree. Changing the division system into what I've proposed means deleting the code about maverick pack and changing the division function from if xp❤4: div=1; elseif xp
In order to make something like that happen, you need to know exactly what you are doing. I mean, you can't just put strength, or EXP, or rank points, you need to make an appropriate function of these three variables. And doing that requires thinking, and time. 🙂
The coding part is easy.
I did propose appropriate functions of those values: strength * rankbonus = maxhit (without weapons). The thinking part should be about the boundaries, but even that can be set as dynamic. For example, every first in the week (tuesday in erep's case) the system sorts all players by their weaponless maxhit and then calculates the thresholds that would divide everyone into 4 divisions with equal number of players.

If you want "more fair" game dont buy MP and dont go for bh in low divs its will more fair,leave bh in low divs to players from that divs 😉

If Plato wanted a fairier game, divisions would be by strength or maxhit, not by exp.

If the game was fair the IK and MP wouldn't exist either. But, of course, if would be far less profitable for them if people with +150k strength could only fight against other people with similar strength instead of noobs with 10k.
Nope. If d3 is under 140k str, I'll stay as legend 1 on 139k str in this division forever and will be one of the strongest accounts 😛

I think that is even in the description of Maverick pack, that people could use their Elite bonus in lower division, and that would be a reason to buy the pack. Money talks in this game. 😛 Maybe they should remove it to make it more fair, but we will see..
