[MoD] The Dutch Air Force and Recent Events
Ministerie van Defensie
Dear soldiers of the Netherlands,
A few days ago the State Secretary of Defense Flo rida20 published an article about the Dutch Air Force. Allow me us to elaborate on the idea behind the Dutch Air Force.
The new battle rounds (air battles), provide an opportunity for people with a low strength in their division to make a difference for their country and allies. Since the damage per hit in an air battle is based on rank points you will hit more than others if you have fought more than others. If you are a player in D1, D2, D3 with no prospect of winning Battle Hero medals any time soon you might want to become a pilot where you will be able to make a difference in important battles. with no prospect of winning many BH medals anytime soon I'm referring to the following group of people.[Updated strength levels]
If you decide to become a pilot your experience will increase just as fast as fighting in normal battles but instead of doing only the Daily Order/only train every day you will have to try and fight as much as possible (in air battles only). The more you fight the higher your aircraft rank will become the more influence you will have on the battlefield.
Consider your options, either continue training for a long time still or join the battlefields and become a pilot now!
I would like everyone who hasn't filled out the 'Air Force Form' form yet to take 2 minutes to fill it out.
In the past two weeks a lot has happened. We started a training war with Norway. After a few days this training was ended because of Russia moving through Norway in order to attack the United Kingdom. Norway is currently in the process of liberating their regions currently occupied by the Russians after which we will start our training war again.
In the past few days Orion has started a joint operation trying to liberate Israel from Italian occupation. Italy was smart and prevented Cuba from joining the operation by cutting of their borders preventing a direct attack. France and Canada launched an Airstrike while Israel started resistance wars. The Italians who has saved up a lot of currency over the past months were able to fend of the Canadian airstrike. France managed to land and grab a hold of an Italian region. In the second battle they lost and since the joint operation is considered a failure might engage in a training war with Italy in order to still benefit from the situation.
Chile send an Airstrike on Cuba and managed to land, currently Cuba is trying to free themselves and we will be there to support them.
That would be all for now, if you have any questions regarding wars in the past few days please do ask. We are here to help you understand the situation.

Filled out the form 🙂
So we have two DAF's now and DAF is part of DAF? Oue does DAF just support DAF? You know which DAF I'm talking about in each sentence right? DAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAFDAF....
Yes Dutch Air Force and Dutch Armed Force(s). Adding the s would include both.
Ps. We remain 1 MU not going to split things up like we used to have several MUs.
the whole thing is the dutch armed forces. but in that whole thing we have specialized "regiments" just like we used to have in the good old days, with people forgoing congress (because you could not leave the country) to become mobile fighters.

Some rephrasing...
I'd expect way higher strength levels that don't stand a chance in lower divisions to be frank.
Also fear encouraging players to go full into air battles might proof a bad choice in the long run. At present they are able to do damage without a chance to score a Sky Hero medal. For that you need around 50k dmg if you are very lucky. It's however very likely someone will go over you to around 75k. But lets work with 50k for a moment. A player starting with air battles will start at around 14dmg per hit if he uses a rocket. To score 50k you would need a ridiculous amount of hits. No option yet. If you want to have a chance you first need to increase your aircraft rank so you do around 100 per hit. If you want to do 50k dmg you still need 500 hits. That'll cost you 500 rockets currently at a rate of around 27 a piece but lets assume price is dropped to 25. It'll cost you 12.5k cc on weapons only. IF you win the SH medal the reward is 30 gold. Or around 12k cc. So if you are lucky you break even. In the process to reach the 100 dmg/hit you gain a lot of XP. You'd need to become something like a squadron leader I guess. The amount of rank points needed would be around 125k. Or 1.250k damage. On (unweighted) average you'd have done 57 dmg per hit meaning 22k hits. Or 22k XP which brings you almost halfway Div 1. Sure you gain extra XP as well so you can be rather sure you end up in Div 2 already. You still don't stand a chance on a SH medal and you will hardly be able to gain gold especially as you don't stand a chance in the ground battles either anymore. In the long run you and up powerless without the means to gain the gold you need to survive.
And this was the optimistic version of only going to increase to 100 dmg/hit. It's very likely once you're there its already 125 dmg that you need. You're already a wing commander then I guess with 1.650k rank points or 16.500k dmg done. (unweighted) avg hit = 70 so 235k XP or >lvl 70😃iv 4....
What stength levels would you consider? I used these levels as once you've reached them you probably have maxed TGs + TC and can increase strength at 91/day. If you ever want to buy packs you can become a BH hunter with lower strength(probably not profitable but buying packs isn't anyway)
Also becoming a pilot isn't about winning medals it's about helping your country don't forget that e.g. right now you can earn loads of money on COs. This of course isn't an income source that is available in every battle.
I'd say reaching D2 you'd need to have 80k already, D3 100k and D4 120-130k. You need to be able to get a BH with FF only. Not with the use of EB's. But I haven't looked into it last year or 2 so it no doubt can/needs to be tweaked.
I know it ain't mainly for gaining medals, yet if you don't have income and are self-sustaining you're useless. To become that you need a large income flow especially if you expect those players to hit a lot as fighting in the air is very expensive. You can't expect the country to buy all you need nor can we count on the players buying packs as most don't. At least not the amount you'd need without income from medals (and/or CO indeed)
Oh by the way; getting BH with FF only, only goes for D1-3. In D4 that's only possible if you have extra FF storage bought and/or from packs. The latter made pack's profitable when prices were still normal (say 30kcc per €5). Nowadays they hardly can be profitable indeed.
and that's why most players don't stick around this game. 999/1000 don't want to do nothing for 2+ years so they might have a change of earning something at that time.
@odan: Air Battles are a positive change in that sense. I guess the best choice they could make would be to stick to a "no strength" scheme like they have right now. New players get identical chances as long as they participate (instead of not fighting at all)...
I've updated the strength levels of the divisions because of Weekstroms feedback. I agree with him that the levels were to low however D2 with 80k strength can already win BHs easily. I believe players with e.g. 50k-60k strength may very well continue their training as if they use 3-5 EBs they can win a BH in D2. That would mean 1 BH a week. if they fight now. I would not advice them to give up their chances to become a pilot with these strength levels.
Not everyone is in it for the gold. I like to be important and helpful to my country and allies. If this means leveling up faster I'll do it anyway because it is what makes the game 'fun' for me. The advice in this article is based on a perception not on a calculated this is what you should do to earn a lot of gold and be important at the same time.
Not talking about being there for the gold Shawtyl0w. I think no one is as if you gain something it's likely you spend it on extra stuff. Unless their would be a way to gain RL money from it which sadly ain't the case. (i'd love it 😉 ).
However you need an income in gold and CO cc to be able to keep playing. Salary from working ain't going to do that trick. My worries are focussed on that. We could end up with high level players that used all their savings to reach a high air rank and after that can't do anything anymore...
They can upgrade TG1 and TG2 to they can earn money from training strength. They can buy food factories and aircraft factories to become self sustainable atleast in fighting without missiles(food only) they can earn 250cc /day by working(1x overtime - house cost and working in own factories) +gold from medals. I believe it's possible.
To up TG's you need gold...
To buy food factories you need gold...
To buy air stuff you need gold AND need workers to work in them that cost you money. You won't profit from it. At best play even but the gold is gone.
250cc a day with overtime work after deducting the cost of the house? 7 times working overtime costs them 825cc so the need to have jobs of roughly 200cc then. Doable but hard and likely wages drop over time again until Q2 air or other new expensive stuff arrives.
I don't see it happen they will be self sustaining. I hope I'm wrong though...
so world war III is happening
