[MoC] Community #Reboot

Day 2,604, 16:21 Published in Ireland Ireland by James Keiller

Assuming I don't get fired and An Sluagh survives all four impeachments, I have the privilege of being Minister of Community for the next month.

I've been out of the public eye for a good bit so I thought I should introduce myself.

Hello. I'm James Keiller.

Oh Stop Grovelling!

eBorn in eDana's first term, most of the time a member of Independent Voices and the Irish Army, with spells in other MU's, The Malcontents, Libertad-Ire and now, Ordo Hereticus. I served in a lot of different Ministries, with the longest stretch in Community, usually in partnership with somebody more talented than me. A couple of years ago, I left politics altogether to help run the Irish Army Commune which is still going strong.

My goal for the next month is simply to try to build the level of activity in the eIrish community as much as I can. It's not all about nice fuzzy feelings either. Without a vibrant community we can't expect to be much cop as a country in a wargame, so there is a serious side to it.

You can expect a good supply of quizzes, lotteries and anything else I can think of. Feel free to send me a PM if you have a good idea. I hope that you will all meet me half-way this month. I think it's a widely shared view that the game is not what it was and we all have our theories as to why that should be. Like everyone else, most of my eFriends are long eDead. We need to find new and imaginative ways to make people want to keep logging on.

So here's what I ask of you...

Take part in the events, even if you think they're a load of crap. It's for the greater good.

Vote and Shout any Community articles.

Those of you with a bit to spare, donate some of that virtual wedge. I will keep a running tally of donations in the updates for transparency.

That's it for now. I'm hoping to have access to the Community Org soon. If not I'll figure something out.

Yours,
James Keiller
