Welcome to the Ministry of Domestic Affairs, headed by me, Invalidation. I hope that I can entertain some of you guys this month, while also energising you to take part in making eSweden great!
As you can see I am trying out a new template for this paper, I hope you like it and find it useful. Any suggestions on how to improve the ministry or the paper are greatly appreciated!


The Lost Royals Dilemma: updates!

The heads of the Great Houses of eSweden have been growing fast!
The 3 Great Houses have been hard at work recruiting and filling up the Swedish media, so far Vasa has catapulted into the lead and has the most members and the strongest claim! Holstein-Gottorp are gradually expanding and gaining ground though. Meanwhile Marcurah is forever alone in Folkung, I hope soon he finds some friends to join him!
The competition for the crown is heating up, and though Vasa currently look very strong, this is not guaranteed to continue. Their lead is only by around 80 points, which could quickly be gained with a couple of citizens doing a bit of recruiting for eSweden on external forums, a hugely popular article, or a battle hero medal or two 😉
The battle is most telling in the tug-of-war game that began yesterday, it has already surpassed 600 posts and looks set to continue. Vasa managed to get the count to over 150, but Holstein-Gottorp in a deal with Folkung, have driven this back down into their territory of under -70!

Join one of the Great Houses and you will add 2 strength to your claim, you can also try and sway the head to back who you want to be the new King of eSweden! We have launched IRC channels for each of the houses, contact the head of your house to find out about it. Subforums have also been created for each of the Great Houses, the Lost Royals even has a forum within forum games and the houses are within this. Contact your house leader for your private access!
I hope to see a lot of you continue taking part in this event, to make your house the greatest of them all!

Remember, you don't have to be eSwedish to take part, - the only difference is that you won't get your share of the prize fund (though perhaps I will fund your prize from my pocket 😁)!

The eUK Pub Quiz

In the UK in real life there is a culture of going to pubs and doing a quiz, mostly for a laugh. In the past UK in eRepublik has done a few IRC 'Pub Quizzes' in the same style, and they've been really quite fun.
Tomorrow evening the eUK are holding an IRC pub quiz in #mentoring (rizon.net), which is done in teams of 3: http://forums.erepublik.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=182&t=79425
I propose that we send a team or two, who declare support for the Red team in UK, and if one of our teams win it then I'll give them loads of points for the Lost Royals event! Also will give out points to people for signing up and turning up to it, I believe in rewarding people just for trying their best 😁
Remember, the Red team are the UK team who are removing the evil Woldy who is trying to steal our throne. So we support those guys!

Here you can keep track of how strong your claim is, which houses are performing best and how much you stand to get from the prize fund! So far we have had a boom in participation, primarily in the release of article. I hope the momentum continues to increase, the rewards are great and you can gain them with as much or little effort as you like and still be a part of this!

Forum Games
The forum game 'The Murder Train' is similar to eVillage with some added unique twists, specifically, everyone will have a fragment of a map and will have to try and see other people's sections to put the whole thing together!
There are also more options for special actions to take with your characters! Traits make it possible to have the 'normal' character most people get, but still have a trick up your sleeve!
However, before we can begin, we need a lot more participants, so far we have 12 or so... we managed to get 30 for eVillage last month, lets get that kind of participation again! So sign up and take part, just joining the game will add strength to your claim for Lost Royals, and you don't have to be Swedish, Brits and other foreigners are totally welcome!

A tug-of-war game, and an 'Exquisite Corpse' drawing game have been launched, you can find these in the Lost Royals section of Forumspel on the national forum. The Viking Raiders idea I mentioned in the last article is coming close to fruition, I'm trying to simplify rules and make it possible to join and leave at any point so it can begin asap!
