[HN] No War With Singapore!

Earlier today our President, Lenin1990, proposed a Natural Enemy against Singapore. This proposal must not pass.
Why, you ask? Well, there are many, many reasons why war with Singapore is a bad idea.
*Let's go back about 6 months. Back then, our President was Fruitcommando. He decided that Singapore needed to be conquered. The war was disastrous to Malaysia! It was lost, to such an extent, that Malaysia had to surrender Peninsular Malaysia for a number of weeks to Singapore. Such an outcome is likely to happen again!
*There is no reason to invade Singapore. We have no cause for war, and this action represents a blatant, unwarranted act of imperialistic aggression, which the people of Malaysia will have to pay for later. Even if we manage to win the war and conquer Singapore, the only benefit is increased food/food raw material production, due to fish. This is absolutely useless! With the free food and food raw material companies that everyone either got from the Admins a few months ago, or got when they joined, enough food can be produced for yourself. Singapore City would, also, be returned to Singapore through a resistance war sooner or later. Why should money be spent for no gain?
*This proposal was not discussed with the Congress, until our President proposed it in-game. This is blatant violation of the Congressional Efficiency Act, which was voted into Malaysian law. This is reason enough to vote no to this proposal!
Malaysians, it's time to stand up! It's time to share your voice with the rest of us! It is time to make clear to the President that the people of Malaysia do not exist to further the Presidential agenda, but rather the President exists to further the agenda of the people of Malaysia!
And I won't even mention the sheer hypocrisy of a member of the Peace and Freedom Party proposing war.

I will bring out my VISA to remove Malaysia from the map again should this proposal pass, I will arm every soldier I can with as much I can and I will bring all of my friends to help me. I am disappointed in the Malaysian president. Extremely disappointed. I hope that enough people in Malaysia are as humble, honest and most of all intelligent as you are, Nicholas.
No expense will be spared in the defense of Singapore, even if that means annexation of Malaysia. This war is a bad idea and should be averted for your own sake and the sake of regional stability.

I agree with this post. I do not see any reason why we should take over Singapore. The cons simply outweigh the pros and it's not like we have many allies anyway. The last thing we need is another enemy.
Singapore sucks and was the former residence of the admins. THAT IS REASON ENOUGH!

This attack is nothing but pure greed on the part of members of the government. As nich2k pointed out, there isn't much of a chance of us winning this battle, let alone holding onto Singapore City if we do happen to take it. The simple thought of actually pushing our neighbor like this, AGAIN, is ridiculous. Why doesn't the government improve what we have now before deciding that expansion is a good idea?
War, perhaps isn't a wise decision, but if we do not gain a "region" with food bonuses, there's no way we can cope with the food price.
Also, your personal attack on PaFP is rather uncalled for. Don't assume that other party members are goody-good-two-shoes. I'm sure there are hypocrites in PKeM and also FP. Don't get so personal.
I would strongly suggest we invite eSingapore to join eMalaysia instead of going on war as war would consume too much resources. eSingapore stands to gain 2 natural bonus resources (weapons) while eMalaysia stands to gain 1 natural bonus resources (food). I think its a win-win situation for both nations and I'm sure it'll strengthen both nations in terms of arm forces too.
But hei, its only my two cents.

I feel sorry for eMalay. Last time you allowed your leaders to do this eSingapore spared you so you could elect a new congress to impeach FC. You didnt get enough votes and then on his way out he started a 2nd war which resulted in you being wiped.
I figure if you are loyal to eMalay you might want to move to eSingapore and fight against this BS. The sooner you get wiped and released again, the sooner you can elect a smarter president who wont mess with nations and would instead talk trade.
Oh and to the people who think "Why doesnt eSingapore just join eMalasyia".... You can see exactally why. Twice now your nation has declared war for BS reasons. Before that crap there had been talks of mergers of many SE Asian nations. You guys screwed it up.

If your an eMy Citizen and do not wish to be pawns to eIndo come over to eSingapore and fight to defend another nations freedom. If in the process eMalay gets wiped to stop the war, it cannot be helped.
I've seen lots of Indos fightin but very few Malays... This means most of you KNOW this isnt right. Fight for the Right side. Fight for eSingapore.
I feel now (as I did at the time of Fruitcommando's War) that the unification (note that I say "unification" and not "conquest") is a good thing for both the people of Singapore and Malaysia. Yes, Malaysia would benefit some from having Fish. But Singapore would benefit more by having Oil and Rubber added to their territory. We would all benefit by joining nations.
But now I feel, as I did during the time of Fruitcommando's War, that this is not the way to do it! War declared on only a day's notice, with no preparations is foolishness. The worse foolishness is in the area of diplomacy. Singapore City if conquered will rebel. This does not accomplish unification. This only drives our two nations further apart by putting within our hearts an antagonism that will result in an ever-lasting distrust to say the least. With hatred driving us apart, we will never become a unified nation, a unified community, and a much stronger one than any of us could be separately.
If I had been elected CP, this would never have happened. I would have worked the heal the wounds left by Fruitcommando. I would have worked to bring our two nations together into one in a more orderly and agreeable fashion.
