With the impending celebration of Zammuelmas, it is time to revel in the words and story of the Great Axolotl, Zammuel. The following is the first part of my contribution to the Holy Book of Zammuel. I hope this will bring forth some warm feelings for your holidays. Please join me in a reading from the Book of Zammuel.

In the beginning, before the creation of man; there existed Acuario. In Acuario, there lived the Great One, the Axolotl God, Zammuel; whom had existed for all of eternity.

After witnessing with his own eyes the emptiness of the space outside of Acuario, the Great One longed for more. He longed to create. From this longing was born PIE. Zammuel then told those of Acuario

“THIS IS PIE. IT IS THE BASE OF EVERYTHING, BOTH FLAWED AND PERFECT, AND WITH IT I WILL CREATE ART OF WHICH NONE OF YOU HAVE EVER IMAGINED.”

The inhabitants of Acuario mocked the Great Axolotl. They laughed at his greatness; but their eyes showed fear of the Axolotl God; for he had proven it was time for HIM and HIS creation to emerge for glory.

In Acuario, the Great Axolotl witnessed many extraordinary acts of unimaginable greatness. He looked around him, however, and saw nothing but emptiness.

This emptiness once again inspired him and gave him a longing to create; to fill the void with life. In HIS unmatched brilliance, he utilized PIE to create light; but the Axolotl God, believing in balance, created darkness to make the light shine even brighter.
