[FoW] The Best Dead Game

Day 5,025, 23:37 Published in South Africa Serbia by Don Croata.

Hello everyone,

As you could notice, just like many others, I haven't been writing a lot lately. Writing was probably the favourite part of the game for me. Not for the sake of the writing, but because of the feedback I'd recieve from the community. Weather people liked my articles or not, I was always happy to hear the opinions, argues, compliments and critics.

Well, I don't do this game much anymore, for the same reason I don't write anymore either. There's no more feedback. There aren't enough people playing this sort of a game. It's bold to say this game is one of the best ideas I've ever came across in the browser gaming library.

Erepublik is the type of the game that requires a lot of people playing it, taking part in the community business, economy, wars. The people, its number is the sole purpose of the game itself. Fighting alongside your own community against the other ones, producing and doing the business when there's a large market, writing articles for many viewers, running the political campaigns for large base of players and stuff like that is the reason we're all here, weather you're aware of it or not. This will never be that type of the game where you can play it alone. It will never be the individual game Admins tried to create in order to make money out of the packs faster.

Why am I writing this now? Because the recent changes would be absolutely awesome if there are loads of people still playing this. Fuel is a brilliant idea for 50 000 players Erepublik era. However, after years of making this game as individualistic as possible, it's hard to expect that the recent changes will actually make much impact. I hope I'm wrong, I hope Admins has launched a long term plan of the recovery, but considering what history has taught us so far, I'm not an optimist.

Fuel changes, air battle increasement and even the other anti-cheat changes, bans and other stuff are all good changes. Or at least those would be the good changes if the game still had people playing it. It seems to me that Admins are a couple of years too late with their incentive. Fuel change will basically make the game more similar to everyone, those with and those without the packs. Admins probably wanted to make the game more attractive to everyone who's still playing. Countries and alliances are meant to be relying more on its coordination, communication and organization once again. It is imagined to direct countries and alliances on the more inclusive game playing style, however, I'm afraid there aren't too many people around to include.

These changes will work better for the countries with a bigger player base and for the countries that'll be able to organize themselves better. There aren't too many that can still do that though. It will be interested to see how the game will fold up in the future. I hope Admins are preparing a few more changes that would all be in a similar direction as the latest ones. But, there's one change we'll need no matter what. Increase the amount of people playing this, because without doing it, this will remain The Best Dead Game forever.

Yours,
Warbhoy
