[eOlympics] Our Charter and Purpose
Reximus
My Fellow eRepublikans,
My announcement that we are bringing back the eOlympics met great acclaim. The official notice was Number 1 in the Australian News Feeds even as CP elections were being debated internationally.
In no small part is this the result of dedicated readers, subscribers, and shouters. Thank you very much for your help.
I have used this image in the past, but it applies better today than ever before.
I am really happy to have everyone who has applied so far on board, but we still need more applicants!
What I have discovered is that translators are a must. If speak both English and another language, please PM me, and I will add you to the International Committee of the eOlympics!

The Official Charter of the eOlympics
1. Preamble
The Purpose of the eOlympic Games are to foster unity, cooperation, ethics, and a competitive spirit throughout the entirety of the eWorld, without discrimination and hatred. We, the International Committee of the eOlympic Games hereby accept this Charter in order to govern itself in a way that enable the purpose to be achieved.
2. International Committee
The International Committee of the eOlympic Games is to consist of three different divisions: the Executive Board, the Legislative Assembly, and the Selection Committee.
a. Executive Board
The Executive Board of the Internatioanl Committee is to be led by the Chairman of the International Committee, and will also include his Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Publicist, and other Officers, to be designated by the Chairman. The Chairman is to be the final say on all activities of the International Committee.
b. Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of the International Committee is to consist of the Chairmen of each nation (or a member of the National Committee who is chosen by the Chairman to represent their nation.) The Legislative Assembly's job is to enact rules and regulations, as per recommendations by the Executive Board, in order to keep the Committee functioning.
c. Selection Committee
The Selection Committee of the International Committee is to serve as the judge of the International Committee, and will consist of members voted upon by the Legislative Assembly. The main purpose of the Selection Committee is to choose the next destination and location of the upcoming eOlympic Games. They will also issue punishments for infractions of National Teams and Competitors.
3. National Committees
The National Committees of the member nations are to be arranged in the manner decided upon by the Country President, acting with the appointed Chairman of the National Committee. It is recommended that they are divided into the Board of Directors and the Athlete's Council.
a. Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the National Committee will be led by the Chairman of the National eOlympic Committee, and will also have a Vice-Chairman, n addition to other officers, as the Chairman sees fit to include, depending on the size of the nation. The Board of Directors will be in charge of ensuring that their nation complies with all regulations of the International eOlympic Committee.
b. Athlete's Council
The Athlete's Council of the National Committee will consist of athletes of a given nation who will compete in the eOlympic Games. The Head of the Athlete's Council will be the member who has the most medals (gold, or overall). In the even of a tie, the athletes vote anonymously. The primary purpose of the Athlete's Council is to advise the Board of Directors and to raise funds for competitors.
4. The eOlympic Games
The eOlympic Games are to be held in equal intervals, with the frequency to be decided by the International eOlympic Committee. The host nation will choose 1 new event (pending International Committee approval) to be added for that eOlympic Games. All nations that are interested are allowed to send a member for each sport, and the National Committee or the athlete can cover the fee, which will be later given as prize money.
We STILL need your help...
We cannot do this alone.
We need at least one person from each eNation to register here.
We need you to vote this article up, to show your support.
We need you to spread the word.
We need you to stay tuned!
But most importantly...
We need you to send a ticket to Plato. We want this to be an official event!
Send him,

Sounds interesting but umm .. besides the well explained boards of people in decision making etc what do people actually do in these e-Olympics? Be interesting to know how people can compete etc
That is coming up next. Our first goal is to gather a bunch of notable eCitizens, and then to circulate our long-term plans.
The infrastructure is vital. I am currently making a forums for the Games, where some of the action can take place.
I suppose the best answer is: More to follow.
Fair enough. I guess a lot will depend on who these notables are, but I wish you well with it.
I am a citizen of eSweden and representative of Asgard vikings, i would like to be part of contest in axe throwing, village pillaging and women r*pe:ing.
