Welcome to your Sunday update on current eAustralian affairs and happenings. So let's get straight to it...
Cabinet reshuffle
With the recent departure of thedilpickl, this left the spot of MoFA open. So this meant there was the need of a cabinet reshuffle (the 3rd or 4th for this term from memory). The newly arrived Yosemite Sam01 has moved across from MoD to MoFA. He has previously worked as MoFA for different countries and is well versed in this position. He will also still help out in the DoD for the remaining days of this cabinet.
Septimius Maximinus (Theolor) has moved back into the MoD role, however his duties there will be limited due to RL constraints. But it will give better coverage for the DO updates.

Congress Elections
Congress elections are now complete, but until Day Change, the headless chicken is still checking the numbers and votes. Once Day Change is complete, we will be restarting the communication with all new members of congress as well as returning members.
Remember if you want a law proposed, please contact your congress member and ask them.
Citizenship and Party make up
In the halls of congress there has been rumblings about parties being ‘PTOed’ or the fear of our nation being ‘PTOed’. Some of these rumbling amount to racism, some even have mumbled about a call to dictatorship to keep the status quo. While those who have lived in a eCountry that has been PTOed, know it is not a great thing, but these rumblings (and I hope they just stay that way) is bordering on reflecting RL Australia’s disgusting past of the ‘White Australia Policy’.
Our eNation is built up from many different people, from many different backgrounds. Some people a RL Aussies, some a RL immigrants to Australia and others live all over the world. But to isolate or not trust someone based on their RL background, is something that is not good for this game or our community. It also will raise the question about any forms of migration attempts by any one here.
We all know that our nation suffers from inactivity, even a vast majority of those who run for congress do not speak up or vote on laws. However where do you draw the line on who is allowed into our nation and who isn’t. What is the standard needed to prove one's worth in their adopted home. When will people accept others rather than ostracise them because of their own fears or discrimination?
But I do request people in our nation to be open minded, to accept players who genuinely want to help out in eAustralia and not marginalise them based on your fears or maybe RL discrimination. Our community is changing, it has for the past 2 years. People have left the game, some others have moved to other nations. It is something we need to accept, that the future makeup of our nation will be different from what we are use too.
Peru
Well Peru…. What can I say here without being undiplomatic or turning the CP paper into a form of trash media….
Recently ePeru’s MoFA EBM approached your government with an offer to change their hostile action towards eAustralia to something more reasonable. The proposal was for the hostile war changing from hostile to a training war. The TW was planned to take place on 4 ePeru regions and 1 eAustralian one (QLD). As well as normal clauses to the TW like taxes back, the ability to end the TW if one or the other nation requests it etc.
This proposal was brought to congress to be voted on and was discussed. Afterwards the vote took place, with the results being:
Yes: 4
No: 2
yep…. 6 votes out of how many congress members…
But when ePeru were informed of the voting result, they all of a sudden have become very quiet again. So due to this, the invasion by Peru is still considered extremely hostile and your government will act accordingly.

At least show some courage and attribute this.
I wont use the CP paper to drag someones name through the mud.
However I will use it as a call to all, to stop with the BS going on and marginalizing citizens of this country based on their unfounded fears. Be those fears are based on RL racism or eRepublik stereotyping of players.
Then why mention these 'racists' at all if you're not willing to put your neck for something you genuinely believe?

So by merely mentioning someones nationality I am to be branded a racist?
by singling out one group based on their nationality is considered racist to many people.
If it is unintentional, fine, but you also need to see how others read it, especially those who it was directed at.
If that were true, we would have to consider the works of Orwell, Camus, Graves, Kafka et al works of racism simply by mentioning other nationalities. Context matters very much when dealing with racism and appears to be missing in your argument.
I hope you are not forgetting what their intention was, Rusty. Do you even still remember the PTO threat during Gueneo's term? Later they were all accepted to be part of Australia. When it was evidently clear they had different intention to be part of Australia.
That is my point, they are currently working with our nation, not against it, to still label them is not right. They are happy to listen to ideas, share them and also follow the rules of our nation. You will always get one or two who right do something different, we have it in every part of eAustralia.
But from what I have seen, if you treat them with respect, they are great people who are happy to assist when they can.
I'm sorry to have to disagree here Rusty, but have you even seen the entire party of ADP? It's full of those who appear to have a PTO agenda.
You cannot deny that when the people spoke in the ASIO thread about denying their enterance they did say they would get in the country even if rejected.
Before you knew it, they had made several multiple accounts to enter Australia, getting banned in the process. If anything this was a disaster to happen.
They are a threat to Australia, while not having great share of powers, but again look at how many of the nationality that are in Congress. They could open a massive route to a PTO by just letting every single Turkish or any other nationality in Australia.
How much of a threat have they been this term or last or the one before that?
The current threat in eAustralia, is the internal people already here. Not external.
The ADP is its own party and half of its down fall, is the active people left it. Look back a year ago, their members were more public and spoken, now it is not the same as it was. Just like the whole country and whole game in general.
Even if they haven't done anything extreme that would suggest there is a threat. These people had an agenda before entering Australia, and I wouldn't put it past anyone that you are partially to blame for that.
You were once banned by Turkish players on this very game, it angered you so much that you joined Iran to fight Turkey. You return Australia, and after a few months Turkish citizens are wishing to enter the country with threatening numbers.
Don't deny it, Rusty because actions or no actions these people have a record of trying to enter the country, and have succeeded. Short or long term threat, they are likely plotting away in numerous Private messages.
Either that, or you have lost your entire touch of leading Australia too long.
What I am to blame for them wanting to PTO the country in the past? Have you been sharing the same crack pipe as Icetek.
I joined Iran, because I originally joined them a few months into my eLife as an Ambassador from Australia. I have always kept in contact with them. After the failed ban, I went to Serbia for the rss bonuses. So you might want to fact check your points 😉
From talking to them, they do not want to PTO the country. Call me foolish, but I believe them, they could of done it by now if they wanted too, but they have not.
You have a very clever skill in twisting words, Rusty. I guess after all these years people are growing tired of your leadership is no longer a mystery but a fact.

Of course my term was rubbish, but at least the Turkish citizens in Australia were not seen as much of a threat because I spoke to them every single day, and I was able to exercise my influence on them.
You however have had several terms in Australia, each term is giving you more oppossition against you, you are a falling man Rusty whether you like that or not. Each time you promise things people jump on your neck. You are lucky to be even leading Australia half the time, since nobody is realistically trying anymore. It's an easy race for you, until someone will try something new.
If I ruined Australia this much you must be failing to fix things then. All you will ever manage in every term is creating more Political enemies than political friends. The sooner you leave politics behind in Australia they might be able to breathe again.
I fear it is your fault for people to have left, and I will also accuse of you making several people inactive by constantly leading Australia as if you are the only person to lead it.

I think the only bad move by some players was to use multies to join here, proved by bans.
But this help banned player to get new, unique, account in eAus and to avoid more ban.
I've received many NO before join this country, and I'm grateful about this chance.
All this just to say there's countries rules, it will be more easy for all to play under this before and during the permanence here or in any other country.
Going further, someone join here now and we just have to hope for a good collaboration.
In terms of control (during the permanence), I'm sorry again for the problems in defining clear rules about immigration. Rules that today would be useful to determine the true cooperation of these players:
If a rule imposes to consider senate vote about any CS request, and a congressman ignores the decision, it is clearly possible to recognize those who want to follow the rules of the country or not.
Whithout rules valid for all, it's natural to think bad if every month the same players accept CS pf players from the same country. Even more after reading their initial statements in comments and private messages.
Nothing against any country by RL or IG opinions.
