[DoCA] Your guide to Party President elections
Department of Citizen Affairs
Party Presidential Elections are approaching on 15th of this term and that date is one of three occasions when the activity of the whole country increases. But a lot of newbs might not know how the PP system works in eRepublik! Here's what it is and how it works.
Party President
Party President is the party member who is elected by his fellow party members on 15th of every month to lead the party. The Party President rules over the party for the month alongside a group of appointed homies, known as the cabinet. The PP assigns them jobs to help run and promote the party.
Wanna Run?
Go for it! The mechanics of eRepublik are not terribly restrictive.
1) You must be a member of the party.
2) Sign up by 23:59 in the 14th of the month.
3) Have an experience level of at least 16 (200 Experience points).
That sounds really simple, right? It is, which is why most parties have Party Primaries that can take place through different methods, depending on the party. These primary elections take place on date prior to PP elections so only the winner runs for PP. This helps ensure that the candidate the party really wants to become Party President is actually elected, since, as previously discussed, basically anyone can be on the ballot in-game.
POWERS
Party Presidents have a lot of power. They lead their party programs to help their members, but they are also responsible for positioning congress candidates on 24th and endorsing a candidate for President of the country.
Here's the copy/paste from wiki:
The president of the party has the following features enable
😛
1) Edit the party details
2) Assign Titles to the Party Members
3) Select who will run for Congress from party. (See Manage congress candidates)
4) Select who will represent party in the presidential elections. (See Country President Elections)
5) Resign from this position (the member with the highest amount of experience points will replace him)
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about PPs and their elections. Get involved with a party and become part of the process! Let your voice be heard!

What titles can be assigned by a PP and are there powers with those positions?
Good question. I should edit. There are in-game titles the PP can assign, but they don't come with any buttons or powers. All is vanity.
run baby run, great way to get exposure and interact within the party you choose. If you have a paper, great way to get exposure for it as well (there is money to be made form writing entertaining articles), ask the other candidates to debate you, so as to get a better understanding of the party you chose.
Take some care if you're a complete unknown to your party-mates before running aggressively though. You should be in regular communication or you risk being labelled a threat. Each party is a little different so get involved and ask questions.
