Until the Day the Sky Rained Fire [.gif]

Day 3,291, 20:10 Published in Croatia North Korea by William Thomas Riker
From the beginning of wars, our enemies had "tanks",
a fight with whom most of us would decline by saying "No, thanks!"

And although we had size differences among our own,
with some organization, the enemy would get blown.

The weak had a say in beating the enemy, too.
Their influence mattered, and the damage grew.

Sometimes, even enemies became allies
attacking from all sides like flies.

Even after the introduction of Airstrikes,
we had the time to prepare the welcoming pikes.

The outcome of any battle was a number's game,
all we needed to do was to take aim.

For special battles we saved bazookas, boosters, and rockets
and other shit like carrots and chocolates...

... and in gorilla fights
we fought our equal knights.

But soon enough, they started fighting battles against armies from another realm,
who had players named Visa, MasterCard, and Eurocard at the helm.

So we slowly became spectators,
getting out of the way of the big boys...

... so we wouldn't get a black eye,
or even better, just die.

And it doesn't matter how hard we play
if they've got more money to pay.

Against RL money we have influence no more:
there is only game over, shut down, walk out the door.

With no influence, we have no reason to play.
"Resistance is futile", just like they say.

Plato, you're a douche, with all the power and pelf.
I have one thing to say to you: go fuck yourself!

Nice job Q, umh, I mean Plato (douche nonetheless). With more and more players who can make more damage in aircraft battles than most of us in regular ones, you screwed up the aircraft module before it even took off. New players will never catch up. Hell, even a hundred of players with my stats can't make a damn difference, in any kind of battle. In Croatia, we have an entire MU whose players fight only in aicraft battles ordered by CP, and still can't make a dent in the enemy's shields. And since there is nothing else to do here (economy, politics, journalism), I pretty much can't play anymore.

I'm not a medal hunter, never was, and I couldn't care less about them. But to realise that I am worthless to my community is demeaning. Where's the joy for me in big battles when I can't even make a difference in a irrelevant resistance war? Where's the joy for thousands of players like me? Before there was this credit card mania and economy existed, I created jobs, goods, and money. When there was a large base of players, I entertained them writing articles. Now I can't do shit that would make me feel useful around here. Me and thousands of others.

Is it time to quit playing?

On the brighter side:
