Moshi moshi, it's ya boi Seth the Sleuthseer here. Welcome to another Tea with Titans, an occasional, rare, newly revived, cancelled, unwonted feature here on the Skald, where I endeavour to interview the movers, the shakers, the warlords and money makers right here on eRepublik!

In this special once off, never gonna happen again issue of Tea with Titans I will be interviewing a Soldier of Teishin Shudan, Party Member of Jinmin Sensen and Press Director of the second incarnation of Imperial Missive (Subscribe if you haven't already)

Kokawayoshi Nowe, aka Minakami Suoh

Crown Prince of Japan

The Skald : What brought you back to Japan?

The Crown Prince : Originally I attempted to rejoin two years, or maybe three years ago. eRep staff never got back to my emails, I'm logged out of my old account (most people probably don't recall the passwords of their old msn and what not, and hotmail has since upped their security practices). This current decision to restart is because Fyr mentioned it since late last year but I left him on read for several months before we reconnected again. He successfully recaptured me then, hahaha

The Skald : What has changed the most since your absence?

The Crown Prince : I'd say the biggest thing that I've noticed on rejoining was the efforts to once more revitalise community engagement. Though still reacquainting myself it feels as if the community has seemingly become mute and disengaged, save for a select group of people who dedicate their time and effort in maintaining eJapan's image (to which I acknowledge all the efforts in up-keeping the server, as well as the wiki). It can even be seen in how the current authority is both Country President and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Though many of us have simply aged out of the era in which we can dedicate time towards participating in government and overall community management, comparing it in contrast with the past when there were at least three to five potential candidates willing to be participants in Foreign Affairs', I suppose this stands out to me the most. Hopefully this is something that will change soon, as everyone needs a bit of pressure alleviated from their shoulders these days

The Skald : As Crown Prince of Japan (and some say the rightful Emperor), how do you plan to engage with your community?

The Crown Prince : Well, that depends on a lot of factors. I can engage as much as I'd like but be met with nothing to show for it, which overall will create a disharmonious environment. Overall I, and those who elected them, should trust the leadership of the elected Ministers and Members of Congress that have taken care of the country thus far. Crown Prince or Emperor - I'm not a super veteran with a plethora of medals and grandiose list of achievements. At most I put myself out there and knew people (which I suppose is turning out to be handy). I would love to see something like Ministry of Culture again, and I'm working with Fyr in building connections with neighboring nations. My goal is within the next few weeks to see a variety of articles written by potential new (and old) friends. Hopefully the dynamic of media engagement between countries will stimulate more?

The Skald : What are your plans as Japan's Crown Prince, and only successor to a vacant Chrysanthemum Throne?

The Crown Prince : Politically and internally, increasing eJapanese culture via engaging within numerous communities, reestablishing embassies with most nations, and gaining privilege to communicate directly within their media. There's also the hope of bringing back a number of former citizens to assist in this rebuild process, while also reaching out to prolific companions in hopes they'd like to partake in this reformation period. With the assistance of a Ministry of Culture we'll reestablish an Imperial Household, and I'm keen to see all of these plans come to fruition (already in progress).

The Skald : For newer players, could you explain your relationship with the Dioist Community?

The Crown Prince : AgentChieftain gave me Mickey D's and told me to touch some sand, which I willingly travelled to the Sahara Desert to get the purest sand, much better than the Gobi Desert's - because I snort my sand, I don't do what Eddie or zRTx does by lining their bidet with South African sand. Afterwards I realized the burger was manufactured by Greeks and that he was a himbo. Snayke was my companion at the time of this journey, he can verify the accuracy of everything.

The Skald : eRepublik is an old game with a very unique community. Some players look to the past, some look to the future but all players have their own reasons for their present engagement. Your auspicious return to the game could help guide new Japanese players. Have you any advise for a Day One Japanese citizen?

The Crown Prince : Connect with the official server, (Editor's Note: The JS Server) don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't be afraid to write articles. Just because a party has a lot of members apart of it doesn't mean that you have no chance to make an imprint, or a general change in the community. There's no such thing as a bad idea, and no account too "small" to have a say in how the community should operate. Feedback is important for elected officials to create a community that represents the interests of everyone.

The Skald : You mentioned both a Ministry of Culture and the re-establishment of your Imperial House. Are these proposals intertwined and if so how can regular Japanese citizens get involved?

The Crown Prince : Proposals, no. While I have vague ideas of how I'd like to go about this and will seek them out, I'm a bit silent on the topic to ensure things can be implemented adequately without any false promises. As for the Ministry of Culture, I will be collaborating with Eula Lawrence for frequent Caturdays, as well as an exchange of community culture within our media. It's my hope that other nearby nations with whom we've been growing comradery with will also feel comfortable engaging us in our own media, as we've been steadily growing closer over discord chats. For the regular eJapanese to get involved, I suppose I would love to see more than just Empress Day. There used to be reviews of movies, anime, - and though not music, it'll be something I'll branch into. We can extend these topics into discussions regarding games (solo or mmorpg), and potentially build further community outside of this. Options are limitless, it just takes people being interested and willing to enjoy themselves with us.

As the evening sun set the sky ablaze, drinks flowed freely in the newly refurbished Sendai Imperial Palace. We toured the Princes many gardens until a sudden gush of rain broke us from our idle dalliances and we returned to the interview but this time the Prince wanted to ask me a question. In all my time as an eJournalist, no one had ever thought to do so.

The Crown Prince : So Seth, recently you've joined eIreland, and now you're offering me an interview. Though appreciated, in the manner of respect you've given me as well as the acknowledgement as Crown Prince or Emperor, I would like to ask you if you feel your duty is done within eJapan after serving a term as Country President? If you believe your duty complete, can I expect you to assist in building a favorable bridge between eIreland and eJapan, now knowing my intent of exchanging culture between friendly nations? If your duty isn't done, should I expect to see your citizenship request, assisting in this project?

Seth the Skald : My time as Japans leader of the Diet was tumultuous and only successful with the help of Japans active and dedicated players. Their advise and support during my tenure was vital in protecting Japan's community and Japan's international reputation as a stalwart neutral Nation. Meaning no disrespect, I think my time serving Japan is over. I believe I have completed my duty to Japan both politically and socially at a cost to my own true purpose in playing eRep, being a neutral Journalist. Although I'll always hold a deep admiration for Japan, Ireland is my true home and I'd welcome any friendly diplomatic opportunities that could arise between the Empire of Japan and the Republic of Ireland.

The Crown Prince : Then I'd like to thank you for your assistance during such a time. Turmoil can break or make anyone, and with the exchange of power to our current Country President we are seeing significant surge in activity, albeit many are still without purpose or simply wish to see how the nation will grow from this point forward. It's because of your term that this was possible. Knitted fingers offering their palms to boost others higher than themselves should never be neglected in acknowledgement. I hope you'll maintain contact with the elected officials of Japan and Ireland and serve as a meeting point between the nations.

The Skald : Speaking of media reviews, have you any recommendations? Particularly for those who are new to Japanese culture.

The Crown Prince : Unfortunately, I have been host to many of our Korean, Chinese, and Thai brethren in my travels throughout Asia and my study abroad within Tashkent. I'm not too versed on the current trending media of Japan, although I imagine that won't last long under the guidance of members of the S.O.S Brigade.

The Skald : Staying on theme, what music does the Crown Prince currently enjoy?

The Crown Prince : I'm extra when it comes to music. (Editor's Note: Click here for the Princes' choice Playlist)

The Skald : You have returned to Japan and laded bare your thoughts here on the Skald. Is there any final thoughts you'd like to share?

The Crown Prince : The world is only as fun as you allow your creativity to extend - as with most. Though there may also be a general uncertainty in what is 'allowed' without potentially being chewed out by those who might gate-keep outdated eras. At the end of the day, we must maintain a willingness to remember that these borders are invisible. We toil enough in another world, there is little need for divides here. Societies require all manners of individuals to properly function - and though you may not agree or even feel offended within one instance, be certain to leave room for improvement in them and yourself as no one's perfect. Not everyone is built the same, and we don't know what another individual is going through unless we're let in to see it ourselves.

The Skald : Thank you for time and candour. It's a long way back to Tipperary, perhaps another one for the road?

The Crown Prince : Sure! I've already finished a bottle, you have a ways to go to build an iron stomach if we're only just getting to the hard drinks. I'll allow others in the responses to determine what we should drink. It'll be a fun game to see how other Titans fair against me.

Here's where I'd usually say another Tea with Titans, another look into the bla bla but I'll refrain this time. I do, however, wish to offer my utmost gratitude to my most gracious and patient fellow sojourner Nowe, the Crown Prince of Japan. An Emperor if I ever met one.

So yeah, an audience with Emperor Nowe.
I hope you learned something today kids.

Adults, what are yiz (y'all) drinking? The Japanese Emperor wishes to know.

Ya boi,

Seth the Unpunctual
