Dear swiss people and friends, hello.
Today its halloween!
as you all know, its the day where we all dress up in funny, odd or scary costumes and we act all spooky-like
halloween, a day which is deeply connected with the spirits (as the ancient cultures and pagans used to say), and it later got adopted by christians as a ''christianic'' holiday, most notably as the ''all saints day'', or the ''all hallowed saints eve'', aka= ''all hallows eve'', aka= ''halloween''!
isnt it great?
to have an old, ancient ritual day that was used by occultists, mystics and pagans to be ''borrowed'' and reshaped by christians as a hallowed day, only for it to be reshaped into a more friendly, commercialized and spooky fun holiday for all the family!
i personally like halloween and i find it very fun, even tho my favorite holiday of all is christmas...
apart from that tho, erepublik started this year's halloween event 5 days ago, and it will run for 2+ more days, all the while we are dueling in the tough ''resource wars'' (which will wage on for 6+ more days), which makes the halloween a pleasant recess from the current big wars/big battles.
lets get those pumpkins, and lets have a good time!

i do like the pumpkins available with the battles. It is fun to see this ''all saints day'' in another way as they call it Halloween.
We celebrate the All saints days exactly 56 days after the Greek Orthodox easter.
This year it was on the 14 June 2020.
Last year it was on the 23 June 2019.
The year before that it was 3 June 2018. The all saints day is not celebrated here in a scary mood. It is a day where there are many prayers for all the saints and prayers for all the people that have passed away. It is a remembrance for the dead with prayers so that their soul will be saved with our prayers and offerings. Happy all saints remembering day.
ps= All the dates above are the all saints day for the recent years.

indeed, we (cypriots and greeks) do celebrate ''all saints day'' in a different day, and in a more peaceful, spiritual manner, without the spookiness of the commercialized version of the holiday in america or in some parts of europe...
(all saints day) is a beautiful holiday, and in a few ways, it reminds me of the ''day of the dead'' in mexico, where they try to save dead peoples memory and souls through prayers and offerings...

I think talking about religion isn't something bad, as long as there is no argue upcoming. But I am happy with no religion for myself, I don't believe in any god or something like that.
I am religious but I find it insensitive to talk about it in a public platform.
