Lacul Beleu este un lac natural situat în rezervația sțiințifică a Prutului de Jos. Se află în preajma satelor Sloboza Mare și Văleni, din raionul Cahul.
Aici se află multe specii de păsări de baltă, peşti, animale şi plante, o mare parte dintre care sunt incluse în Cartea Roşie a Republicii Moldova.
Se găsesc egrete, lișițe, cormorani, rațe, stârci, lebede, cocostârci și alte specii.
Mii de pelicani comuni poposesc anual pe Lacul Beleu, sunt păsări de pasaj, și apoi pleacă spre Delta Dunării
S-au format labirinturi de stufăriș și sălcii în această zonă umedă de impotanță internațională.
Este considerat o Deltă a Dunării în miniatură, este cel mai mare lac natural din Republica Moldova.

The Beleu Lake is a natural lake situated in the scientific reservation “ Prutul de Jos”.
It is in the sourronding of villages Slobozia Mare and Văleni from The Cahul District
There are many birds, fishes, animals and plants species, a lot of species are on the Red List of Republik of Moldova.
There are herons, eurasian coots, cormorants, ducks, swans, storks and other species.
Thousands of pelicans stop off annual on the Beleu Lake and then they fly to The Danube Delta.
Labyrinths of reeds and willows have formed in this international wetland.
The Lake is considered a little Danube Delta, it is the greatest natural lake from Republik of Moldova.
